Özet
Real self (nefs) is one of the important concepts of people thought. Subjects of the structure of real self (nefs), soul, reason, relations between heart, and it's effects to people etc. many times occupied people mind. Allah (c.c) and Muhammed (s.a.v) mentioned in the Qur'an and Hadiths about properties of real self (nefs) and it's positive and negative effects. This thesis contains one introduction, two main parts and one result part. In introduction part, we have to describe dictionary and technical meaning of ?real self? (nefs) and synonymous concepts of this term ?soul, heart, sadr and reason?. And we have tried to express in this part using of real self (nefs) in Qur'an and Hadiths. In the first main part, we tried to explain culture of misticism and real self (nefs) and its degrees in Ghazzali. And this part contains the subject of relations between real self and other strenghts. And in the second main part we have worked about the discipline of the real self (nefs) in Ghazzali. As a result we have reached to that: in the culture of mistisizm and Ghazzali, real self (nefs) and discipline of real self (nefs) thought is a method which all the people can apply to this method.
