Özet
Bu çalışma ortaöğretim kurumlarında görevli biyoloji öğretmenlerinin yapılandırmacı eğitime yaklaşımlarını saptamak; eğitim durumu, kıdem, cinsiyet gibi bazı değişkenlerin biyoloji öğretmenlerinde yapılandırmacı eğitime bakış açılarını etkileyip etkilemediğini ortaya koymak amacıyla yapılmıştır.Araştırma Ankara ili merkez ilçelerinde bulunan 43 lisede yapılmıştır. Bu okullarda görevli 101 biyoloji öğretmenine, yapılandırmacı eğitime yaklaşımlarını saptamak amacıyla anket uygulanmış, elde edilen veriler t testi ve tek faktörlü varyans analiziyle değerlendirilmiştir.Araştırma sonucunda biyoloji öğretmenlerinin derslerinde aktif öğretim yöntem ve tekniklerinden en çok soru-cevap ve tartışma yöntemini kullandıkları, gezi-gözlem yöntemi ve altı şapkalı düşünme tekniğini ise çok az kullandıkları ya da hiç kullanmadıkları belirlenmiştir.Cinsiyet ve kıdem durumunun biyoloji öğretmenlerinin yapılandırmacı eğitime yönelik yaklaşımlarını etkilemediği görülmüştür. Fen, fen-edebiyat fakültesinden mezun olan öğretmenlerin, eğitim fakültesinden mezun olanlara göre yapılandırmacı eğitime daha olumlu baktıkları tespit edilmiştir. Öğretim yöntem ve teknikleri konusunda hizmet-içi kursa katılan öğretmenler, katılmayan öğretmenlere göre aktif öğretim yöntem ve tekniklerini derslerinde daha çok kullanmaktadırlar. Ayrıca hizmet-içi kursa katılanların ve yeni öğretim yaklaşımları ile ilgili hizmet-içi kurslara her zaman ihtiyaç hisseden öğretmenlerin yapılandırmacı eğitime daha olumlu baktıkları belirlenmiştir.Biyoloji öğretmenlerine hizmet öncesinde ve hizmet-içi kurslarla hem yapılandırmacı eğitimle ilgili hem de yeni öğretim yöntem ve teknikleri ile ilgili teorik ve uygulamalı bilgilerin verilmesi gerektiği düşünülmektedir.

This project has been carried out to determine the approaches of biology teachers in secondary education institutions about constructivist education and to understand whether some variables, such as academic background, seniority, age, gender etc., affect their point of view about constructivist education.Subjects of this study are randomly selected 101 biology teachers who work at 43 different high schools in the central counties of Ankara. A questionnaire was developed by researcher to gather data about approaches of the subjects against constructivist education. Data was evaluated by t test and one factor variance analyze.According to the findings of study, it is determined that the biology teachers mostly use question-answer and argumentation techniques among active teaching method & techniques; while trip-observation method and six hats technique are rarely or never used by them.It is seen that gender and seniority have no effect on the views of biology teachers about constructivist education. On the other hand, it is determined that the teachers who were graduated from the faculty of science and science-letters have more positive opinions about constructivist education when compared with the other teachers who were graduated from faculty of education. Besides, it is seen that the teachers who have attend in-service courses use active teaching methods & techniques in their lessons more than other teachers. Also, the teachers who have attend in-service courses or need continuous in-service courses for the new educational approaches have more positive views about constructivist education.Regarding the above mentioned considerations, it is thought that the necessary theoretical and practical information about both constructivist education and the new teaching methods & techniques should be given to biology teachers in pre-service (university) and in-service courses.
