Özet
Osmanlı tarihi için medrese, devleti ve toplumu doğru bir şekilde anlamada en önemli kurumların başında gelir. Çünkü medreseler yaşadıkları toplumun tüm değişimlerinden etkilenmişler aynı zamanda da kendileri toplumun değişimine etki etmişlerdir. Yaklaşık altı asır boyunca devam eden Osmanlı tarihinde bu anlamda medreseler devletin ve toplumun yapısını anlamada başta gelen kurumlardandır. Medreselerin kuruluş aşamasından kapatılmalarına kadar yaşadıkları değişimler ve bu değişimlerin kimi zaman sebebi kimi zaman da sonucu olan medrese içi sorunlar bu çalışmanın ana konusunu oluşturmaktadır.Belirli bir zaman sınırlamasına gidilmeyen çalışmada temel olarak medrese öğrencileri olan suhtelerin yaşadıkları ve yaşattıkları sorunlar ele alınacaktır. Başlangıçta sadece ekonomik temele dayanan bu öğrenci olaylarının özellikle son iki asırda neden siyasal bir yöne doğru kaydığı incelenecek, zamanla değişen bu durumun medreselere yansımasının ne yönde olduğu ortaya konulacaktır. Mekan ve zaman değişmelerine bağlı olarak öğrencilerin karıştığı suçlara hangi toplumsal grupların ne amaçla destek verdikleri de incelenen alanlar içinde olacaktır.Suhtelerin yanı sıra müderrislerin de zaman zaman konu edileceği çalışma içinde, devletin medreselilerin yaşadıkları problemlere karşı aldığı tedbirler, ceza ve reform yöntemleri irdelenecek, ayrıca bu yöntemlerin zaman içindeki değişimi izlenecektir. Medreselerin yaşadığı sorunlara bu kurumun içinden bakılmaya çalışılacak ve bilim dünyasının medreselerin sorunlarına karşı tutumu ele alınacaktır. Özellikle bilim adamlarının ve öğrencilerin kendi sorunları için hangi çözüm yollarını önerdikleri ve bunların gerçekleşme dereceleri belirlenmeye çalışılacaktır. Medreselerin yaşadığı ekonomik ve düşünsel sorunların öğrenci olaylarına olan etkisi açıklanırken, özellikle Batılılaşma projesinde medreselerin konumu da irdelenecektir.Bu tez çalışmasında ana kaynak olarak Mühimme Defterleri ve Devlet Arşivleri Genel Müdürlüğü (Başbakanlık Osmanlı Arşivi) içinde bulunan dokümanlardan, AnkaraMilli Kütüphane'den elde edilen kaynaklardan ve basılmış kroniklerden yararlanılmıştır. Ayrıca konu ile alakalı araştırma inceleme eserleri de çalışma içinde kullanılmıştır

For the Ottoman State the medrese is among the most important institutes in order to understand the state and the people correctly. Because the medreses were effected all the events their people lived and at the same time they effected their people?s changing. At this mean the medreses are the main institutes to understand the Ottoman history maintained nearly for six centuries. The medrese?s changes occurred from the foundation to the shutting and the inside problems of the medreses which sometimes either the reason or sometimes the results of these changes are the main topics of this study.In this study that has no time limit basically the problems of the medrese students called as suhte and the problems they caused will be investigated. It will be investigated that why the students events changed from the events rooted in economic causes to the events rooted in political causes especially in last two centuries. The effect of this change on the medreses will be explained. At the same time it will be among the topics researched that which and why the social groups supported the events of the students related to the changing of the times and places.In this study in which also sometimes the müderrises will be in the topic the measures were taken by the state and the punishment and reform methods of the state besides the changes of these methods also will be investigated. It will be explained that how the inside of the institution understood the problems and what were the reactions of the scholarships to the medreses. Especially what the scientist and the pupils offered to solve their own problems and the rage of the success of these measurements will be tried to explain. While explaining the effects of the spiritual and economic problems on the events of the students, mainly the place of the medreses in the actions of the Westernization Project will be searched.In this thesis study the Mühimme Defters, the archive documentaries in the State Archives General Managements (The Turkish Prime Ministry Ottoman Archive: Başbakanlık Osmanlı Arşivi), the sources possessed from Ankara National Library (Ankara Milli Kütüphane) were benefited as the primary sources. Besides the published research studies related the topic were used in this study.
