Özet

Bu arastırma, Dikkat Eksikligi Hiperaktivite Bozuklugu (DEHB) tanısı konulan çocuklara verilen kisilerarası sorun çözme egitim programı olan ?Ben Sorun Çözebilirim (BSÇ)? egitiminin, karsı gelme belirtileri üzerine etkilerini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıstır. Arastırmanın evrenini Ocak ve Nisan 2007 tarihleri arasında Ankara'daki iki lkögretim Okulu'nda (ilkögretim birinci kademe) okuyan ve DEHB tanısı olan 6-11 yas arası 33 çocuk olusturmustur. Arastırma, tek gruplu ön-son test deseninde yarı deneysel olarak planlanmıs, veri toplamak amacıyla DSM-IV-TR'e dayalı ?Yıkıcı Davranıs Bozukluklarını Degerlendirme Ölçegi (YDBÖ) ve ?Çocuk ve Gençler için Davranıs Degerlendirme Ölçegi, (Teacher Report Form-TRF) kullanılmıstır. Deneklere 14 hafta boyunca bilissel yaklasıma dayalı kisilerarası sorun çözme beceri egitim programı (BSÇ) uygulanmıstır. BSÇ egitimi öncesi ve sonrasında anne-baba ve ögretmenlerden YDBÖ ile TRF ölçeklerini doldurmaları istenmistir. DEHB olan çocukların ?kurallara karsı gelme?, ?dikkatsizlik?, ?hiperaktivite/dürtüsellik?, ?anksiyete/depresyon?, ?sosyal içe dönüklük?, ?suça yönelik davranıslar?, ?saldırgan davranıslar?, ?somatik sorunlar?, ?sosyal sorunlar? ve ?düsünce sorunlarının? BSÇ egitim sonrasında azaldıgı görülmüstür. TRF'nin Yeterlilik alanına iliskin ?sıkı çalısma, uyum, ögrenme ve mutlu olma? alt testlerin toplamından olusan ?toplam yeterlilik? testinde BSÇ egitim sonrasında öncesine göre istatistiksel fark olusturacak sekilde puanın yükseldigi ve yeterlilik düzeyinin arttıgı görülmektedir. BSÇ Egitiminin hemsirelik uygulamasında kullanılabilecek DEHB olan çocukların sorunları ile bas etmelerine yararlı bir egitim oldugu düsünülmektedir.

This study was performed to evaluate the effects of the ?I Can Solve the Problem? training program based on ?Interpersonal Cognitive Problem-Solving (ICPS) Strategy? on Oppositional Defiant Problems in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The sample consisted of 33 children with ADHD who ranged from 6 to 11 years old from two-elemantary school in Ankara between January-April 2007. The study was semi-experimentally designed as pre and post test with one group. ?Child Behavior Checklist for Ages 6-18 (Teacher Report Form) (TRF)? and The DSM-IV based ?Disruptive Behavior Disorders Screening and Rating Scale? (parent and teacher forms) were used in order to evaluate the efficacy of the program. The ICPS program was performed to 33 children with ADHD during 14 weeks. The scales were applied on before and after the program to the children?s mothers and teachers in order to evaluate the children?s behaviours. Analysis of data from multiple sources showed that problems of ?oppositional defiant?, ?attention?, ?hyperactivity? problems, ?anxious/depressed?, ?withdrawn/depressed?, ?attention? problems, ?rule breaking behavior?, and ?aggressive behavior? were significantly decreased after the ICPS Program. The sum of the scores for four adaptive characteristics (working hard, acting appropriately, learning and happiness) displays ?adaptive functioning profile? in TRF. The sum score subscale significantly increased and improving of the adaptive functions were observed after the ICPS. The mean of total competence scores after ICPS Program indicated a significant increasing and the difference between pre and post tests was statistically meaningful. Positive effects of the ICPS Program on the children with ADHD were established. The competence level of the children increased and the emotional and behavioral problems which were oppositional defiant problems exists in children with ADHD decreased. ICPS Program is useful for children with ADHD to deal with their assumed problems.
