Özet
Bu araştırmanın temel amacı; Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'na bağlı ilköğretim ve orta öğretim kurumlarında çalışan beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin 23 Nisan Ulusal Egemenlik ve Çocuk Bayramı ile 19 Mayıs Atatürk'ü Anma ve Gençlik ve Spor Bayramlarının hazırlık aşamasında, tören sırasında ve kutlama sonrasında karşılaştıkları problemleri tespit ederek beklentileri belirlemektir.Araştırmada mevcut durumu ortaya çıkarması amaçlanan betimsel ve taramaya yönelik bir yöntem kullanılmıştır. Çalışma teorik ve uygulamalı olmak üzere iki aşamadan yapılmıştır. İlk aşamada; konuyla ilgili literatür taraması uygulanmıştır. İkinci aşamada beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin problem ve beklentilerini belirlemek için önce açık uçlu anket hazırlanmış, bu anketlerle beraber uzman görüşü alınarak kapalı uçlu anket hazırlanmış ve uygulanmıştır.Araştırmanın evrenini 2006-2007 eğitim-öğretim yılında İstanbul İlinde Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'na bağlı ilköğretim ve orta öğretim kurumlarında görev yapan 1940 beden eğitimi öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinden tesadüfü olarak seçilen 200 öğretmen araştırmanın örneklem grubunu oluşturmaktadır. 20 problem ve 20 beklentiden oluşan anket ile kişisel bilgilerden toplanan veriler bilgisayar ortamında SPSS programı kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir.Bu çalışma ile Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'na bağlı örgün eğitim kurumlarının katılarak düzenlediği törenlerin incelenmesi, problem ve beklentilerin belirlenmesiyle mevcut problemlerin çözümlenmesine ve bayramların daha doyurucu ve etkileyici bir şekilde kutlanması açısından yararlı olacağı düşünülmektedir.Çalışma sonucunda elde edilen verilere dayanılarak en çok dile getirilen 5 problem ve 5 beklenti belirlenmiştir. Uygulamaya katılan beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinden bu problem ve beklentilerin çalıştıkları okul türleri, cinsiyet, yaş, hizmet yılı ve bayramlarda görev yapma sıklıklarına göre farklılık gösterip göstermedikleri konusunda görüş alınmıştır. Bulgulara ve sonuca dayanılarak konuyla ilgili öneriler sunulmuştur.

This study investigates to determine the expectations of teachers of physical education and sports working at primary and secondary schools bound to National Education Ministry, by determining the problems they face at the preparation stages, during the ceremony and after the celebrations of 23 April National Sovereignty and Children's Festival and 19 May National Youth and Sports Festival.In this study descriptive research method was used to show the present situation. The study consists of two stages-theoretical and practical. At the first stage, the review of literature related to the topic was made. At the second stage, first, open ended questionnaires were prepared to determine the problems and expectations of teachers of physical education and sports, then with these questionnaires and by taking the expert views into consideration, close-ended questionnaires were prepared and applied.The scope of the study consists of 1940 teachers of physical education and sports working at primary and secondary education government schools in İstanbul in 2006-2007. The sample of the study consists of 200 teachers chosen randomly among these 1940 physical education teachers. The collected data of the questionnaires consisting of 20 expectation and 20 problem items with demographic information is analyzed on computer by SPSS program.With this study, by determining the problems and expectations, examining the celebrations organized and participated by formal education institutions bound to National Education Ministry is thought to be helpful to solve the present problems and enable the celebrations to be made more affective and satisfying.On the base of the findings of the study, the top 5 problems and 5 expectations were determined. The physical education teachers were asked to give their opinions about whether these problems and expectations showed any differences according to the schools they were working at, gender and the frequency of their attendance to festivals. Propositions were made on the base of the findings and the result of the study.
