Özet

Bu araştırmada; ilköğretim 6. sınıflarda olasılık konusunun öğretiminde bilgisayar destekli eğitimin etkisi incelendi ve geleneksel eğitim yöntemine göre, öğrenci başarısı üzerinde etkili olup olmadığı araştırıldı.Araştırma; 2008-2009 öğretim yılı, birinci dönemde İhsan Özkaşıkçı İlköğretim Okulu ve Vali Necati Çetinkaya İlköğretim Okulunun 6. sınıfında okuyan 316 öğrenci üzerinde yapıldı. Bu okullardan rastgele, toplam sekiz sınıf seçildi ve bu sınıflardan dördü kontrol, dördü ise deney grubu olarak oluşturuldu. Deney ve kontrol gruplarına öntest uygulandı ve bağımsız t-testine göre başarı düzeylerinde anlamlı bir fark olmadığı görüldü.Olasılık konusu; kontrol grubuna geleneksel öğretim yöntemi kullanılarak sınıf ortamında verilirken, deney grubuna ise, bilgisayar destekli eğitim sistemi bulunan sınıfta verildi. Daha sonra deney ve kontrol gruplarına sontest uygulandı. İhsan Özkaşıkçı İlköğretim Okulu ile Vali Necati Çetinkaya İlköğretim Okulu öğrencilerinin kontrol ve deney gruplarının öntest ve sontest puanlarına göre aralarında anlamlı bir fark olup olmadığı bağımsız t-testi ile değerlendirildi.Araştırmanın ortaya koyduğu bulgular ışığında, ilköğretim altıncı sınıflarda olasılık konusunun öğretiminde bilgisayar destekli eğitimin, geleneksel eğitim yöntemine göre daha etkili olduğu ve teknolojik sınıflarda ders işleyen öğrencilerin motivasyonlarının daha yüksek olduğu tespit edildi.

In this study; the effect of computer assisted instruction in the teaching of probability in sixth year was investigated. The study is about whether effective method in the success of students against the traditional education method.This study was performed in the first semester of academic year of 2008-2009 and it included 316 students attended to sixth grade of İhsan Özkaşıkçı and Vali Necati Çetinkaya Primary Schools. Eight class rooms were selected randomly and were divided into two groups as control and experimental. After the pretest was applied to the groups, there was no significant difference in the level of achievement between the experimental and control groups according the independent samples t-test.While the subject of probability was performed with traditional method to the control group in the classroom, it was performed to the experimental group in the classroom with computer assisted instruction system. After that the post was applied to both of the groups. The data were evaluated by independent samples t-test whether there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in both schools with respect of the results of pre and posttests.
