Özet
ABSTRAKT Pigment özellikli bazı ftalosiyanin türevleri sentezlenerek luminesant özelliğe sahip olanların solar fotokimyasal reaksiyon sistemlerinde fotosensitazör olarak kullanılmaları amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla nitrolu-, sülfolu- acyl- klorürlü ve bakır (II)' li ftalosiyaninler ile metal içermeyen ftalosiyaninler sentezlenmiştir. Elde edilen ftalosiyaninler kolon kromatografisi ile ve kristallendirme ile saflaştırılıp, elementel analiz, İR, UV, H-l NMR ve C-13 NMR yöntemleri ile analiz edilmişlerdir. ABSTRACT Phthalocyanine dyes are known to have luminescent characters. Phthalocyanines are synthesized for the aim of use as photosensitizers at solar photochemical reaction systems. Tetra nitro-, tetra sulphonated-, acyl chloride-, copper (II) phthalocyanines and metal - free phthalocyanines have been synthesized. Produced phthalocyanines are purified by column chromatography and recrystallization, analyzed by elemental analysis, IR, UV, H-l NMR and C-13 NMR spectroscopic methods.

V. SUMMARY The target molecules in the present work were phthalocyanines that possessed substituents that were governed in their characteristics. Therefore, it was proposed to prepare a series of metal-free phthalocyanine and phthalocyanines which are contained -nitro, -sulpho, -acylchloride substituents in the 1- and 2- positions. These derivatives have been synthesized by the use of wyler- Riley process. This process is more economical compared to the others. Phtalocyanine forms, in a short period, when ammonium molybdate is used as a catalyst. Phthalic anhydride is inexpensive, but our desired derivatives which are substituted in the aromatic ring, need in difficult conditions, because of very reactive carbonyl carbons. Some phthalocyanine dyes are known to have luminescent characters. The aim for future work is to use synthesized phthalocyanines as photosensitizers for solar photochemical reaction systems. 50
