Özet
Görsel algılama araştırmaları kapsamında incelenen insan görme sistemi çeşitli fizyolojik unsurları içinde barındırır ve psikoloji, bilişsel bilimler; nörobilim ve daha pek çok alanın da araştırma konusu içinde yer alır. Yirminci yüzyılda ortaya çıkan ?Sanat Bilimleri? deneysel estetik algıyı incelerken bu bilimlerden de yararlanmaktadır.Görsel algılamada ?bilinçdışı çıkarım? insan görme yetisinin aslında hayli düşük olması sonucunda ortaya konmuştur. Görme sisteminin yaptığı bilinçdışı çıkarımın hatalı olduğu durumlarda görsel illüzyonlar meydana gelir. Renk, biçim, derinlik ve hareket algısı gibi görmenin alt sistemleri ile görüntü çözümlemesi yapılarak kompozisyon yorumları yapılabildiği gibi; görüntülerin anlamı nasıl oluşturduğu sorusunu soran resim göstergebilimi gibi, imgesel bir göstergenin içerdiği anlamı ve izleyicisi üzerinde yarattığı psikolojik etkileri yine algılama biçimleriyle yorumlamak mümkündür.
Özet (Çeviri)
Human visual system which is studied in the context of visual perception research includes various physiological components and also involves in a lot of research fields such as psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience etc. The ?Science of Art?, emerged in the 20th century, uses the information of these sciences in the mean time to study experimental aesthetic sensation.?The unconscious inference? in the visual perception is the conclusion of that human sight is in fact rather poor. Visual illusions appear when the unconscious inference goes wrong. A composition could be interpreted either with the basic systems of vision such as color, shape, depth and motion perception; or as in the pictorial semiotics which questions how the images make meaning, it is possible to interpret the meaning inside of a visual sign and the psychological effects on the viewer and again with the figurations of perception.
