Özet
İnsanın var olduğu en erken dönemlerden itibaren doğayı ihtiyaçları doğrultusunda dönüştürme süreci teknolojiyi doğurmuştur. Teknoloji geçen yüzyıllar içerisinde değişmiş ve doğanın tüketilmesini hızlandıran bir dizi olumsuzluğu beraberinde getirmiştir. Tarihsel süreçte birçok sanat akımının konusu olan doğa, 1960'larda ilk örnekleri verilmeye başlayan Çevre Sanatı'nın da temelini oluşturmuştur. Bu süreçte Kavramsal Sanat, Gövde Sanatı, Oluşumlar, Performance, Yoksul Sanat, Minimalizm'in önde gelen sanatçılarının yaklaşımları ve ortaya koyduklar eserler Çevre Sanatı'nın biçimlenmesini sağlamıştır. Çevre Sanatı; doğada, şehir merkezlerinde, galerilerde, bahçelerde, denizde, nehirde aklımıza gelebilecek çevremiz olarak tanımlayabileceğimiz alanların tümünde şekillendirilen uygulamaları kapsamaktadır. Sanatçı gerektiğinde mekana eklemeler, çıkartmalar yapmış, doğada var olan malzemeleri düzenlemiş ya da belli bir mekandan aldığı malzemeleri özünü koruyacak şekilde bambaşka bir alanda değerlendirmiştir. Çoğu zaman büyük makineler ve iş gücü gerektiren bu çalışmalar; fotoğraflar, video kayıtları, eskizler ve afişler aracılığıyla izleyicisiyle buluşmuştur. Amaç günden güne duyarsızlaşmaya başlayan toplumu çarpıcı bir şekilde uyarmak, görmeyi, düşündürmeyi ve yeniden doğaya yönlendirmeyi sağlamak olmuştur. Bu amaçlar doğrultusunda yapılan uygulamalarda, çevre kirliliği yaratacak, ekolojik dengeye zarar verecek çalışmalar yapmaktan kaçınılmıştır. Seramik; çevreye uyumlu olma özelliğinden dolayı Çevre Sanatı uygulamaları için önemli bir malzeme olmuştur. Çevre konulu atölye çalışmalarında, mekan tespit edilerek, doğa dokusunun değiştirilmesi, tahrip edilmesine yönelik seramik çalışmalar yapılmıştır. Tasarımlar yapılırken, alanın yapısına ve çevresine uygun şekillendirme teknikleri belirlenmiştir. İki proje tasarlanmış ve uygulanmıştır.

The process of transforming the nature on the direction of the needs has led to the creation of technology since the early times when men existed. Technology has changed in the last centuries and brought about a series of adverse effects that accelerate the exploitation of the nature. Nature, which has been the subject of many art movements throughout the history, also forms the basis for the Environmental Art whose examples first emerged in 1960s. In this period, the approaches of the pioneering artists of minimalism, Art Povera, Performance, Happening, Body Art, Conceptual Art and the works they created contributed to the formation of the Environmental Art. Environmental Art encompasses the artistic works created in all the places that we can call our environment such as rivers, sea, gardens, galleries, city centers and the nature.The artist sometimes makes additions to or extractions from the place when necessary or balances the substances which exist in the nature or utilizes the materials taken from one place in another without spoiling its original quality. These artistic works which often need big machines and great labor have been shared with their audience through photographs, video records, esquisses and posters. The purpose is to warn the society who starts to ignore nature increasingly as well as to enable them to see, think and return to the nature. With these purposes in mind, the works that can cause damage to the ecologic balance or create environmental pollution are carefully avoided. Ceramic is an important material for the environmental art works in that it is compatible with nature. In the workshops with environmental subjects a place is firstly determined and feasible designs in harmony with this place are created. While the designs are being created, the design techniques suitable to the environment, the structure of the field and the message aimed to be given are determined. Two projects have been designed and created.
