Özet
Bu çalışmada özel okulda 9. ve 10. sınıfa devam eden ergenlerin, madde kullanımına ilişkin bilgi, tutum ve davranışlarını incelemeyi amaçlanmıştır.Araştırma TED (Türk Eğitim Derneği)'ne bağlı olarak hizmet veren TED Karabük Koleji, TED Bursa Koleji, TED Konya Koleji ve TED Aliağa Koleji'nde yürütülmüş ve 9. ve 10. sınıfa devam eden 225 ergenden veri toplanmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen bir soru kağıdı kullanılmıştır.Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; ergenler aile bütünlüğüne sahiptir. Ebeveynlerin eğitim seviyesi yüksektir. Ergenlerin annelerinin çoğunluğu çalışmazken; babaların daha çok işveren olduğu görülmüştür.Ergenler sigara, alkol ve diğer maddelerin sağlığa zararlı olduğu, vücutta hangi sistemlere zarar verdiği, hangi hastalıklara yol açtığı, bağımlılık yaptığı ve neden kullanıldıkları bilgisine sahiptir.Sigara, alkol ve diğer maddeler konusunda bilgi sahibi olan ergenlerin, sigara ve alkol dışındaki maddeleri kullanmadığı; fakat sigara ve alkol kullanımının ergen grubunda var olduğu görülmüştür. Alkol kullanma davranışına sigara kullanma davranışına oranla daha fazla rastlanmıştır.Ergenlerin sigara, alkol ve diğer maddeler konusundaki tutumları incelendiğinde ise; sigara, alkol ve diğer maddeler konusunda olumsuz tutuma sahip oldukları saptanmıştır. Bir karşılaştırma yapıldığında ergenlerin sigara ve diğer maddeler konusundaki tutumlarının alkol konusundaki tutumlarına göre daha olumsuz olduğu söylenebilir.

This study aims to analyse the knowledge, approach and the attitude of adolescents continuing 9th and 10th grade to the use of drugs.This research has been conducted at TED Karabük College, TED Bursa College, TED Konya College and TED Aliağa College which are appertain to Turkish Education Foundation and the datas have been collected from 225 adolescent continuing 9th and 10th grade.During the data gathering proces a questionnaire form, developed by the researcher, has been used.According to findings of the research; adolescents who take part in the research have a family integrity. The parents are highly educated. While most of the mothers are housewives, fathers are mostly employers.Adolescents are aware of the harmful effects of smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages and using other drugs. They know that these substances cause addiciton, they may lead to severe diseases. They all know why these substances are used.It has been observed that; Adolescents who have a thorough knowledge of smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages and using other drugs, are not using other drugs, however it has been seen that they are smoking and drinking alcoholic beverages. Attitude of drinking alcoholic beverages is higly encountered in comparison with the attitude of smoking.While analizing their attitude towards smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages and using other drugs, it has been observed that they have a negative attitude towards smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages and using other drugs. At this point, when a comparison has been made, their attitude towards smoking and using other drugs is more negative than drinking alcoholic beverages.With in the context of this research; we can say that the schools which are subject to this research, at a good point for preventing smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages and using other drugs.
