Özet
SUMMARY This research is performed in order to set whether the cognitive styles of field dependence-filed independence, reflectivity-impulsivity and leveling- sharpening, differentiates on the basis of socio-economical status (SES). Embedded figures test is used for the measurement of the field dependence-field independence cognitive style; Matching Familiar Figures Test is used for the measurement of the reflectivity-impulsivity and for the measurement of leveling-sharpening cognitive style the Telling Story Test is used. These three tests is performed On 5th years primary school students being educated in six primary schools, 50 of them from each school representing high SES and low SES in Ankara. According to the results; as the socio-ekonomical status goes up the field dependence, reflectivity and sharpening cognitive styles; as the socio-economical status goes down, the field dependence, impulsivity and leveling cognitive styles develop. As a result, these three cognitive styles are differentiate in socio- economical status. The cognitive approaches of individuals towards solving the problems affects both their psychological structures and their daily life. Thus, by taking measures in lower socio-economic levels and making regulations the conditions can be drown to that of the upper socio-economical level and the ways of people in approaching problems can be changed in order to be more productive to contribute to-iheir harmony and happines. 56alt sosyo-ekonomik düzeylerde bir takım önlemler alınarak, düzenlemeler yapılarak, koşullar üst SED'dekine yaklaştırabilir ve insanların problemlere yaklaşım biçimleri daha verimli olacak şekilde değiştirilerek, onların uyum ve mutluluklarına katkıda bulunabilir. 55
