Özet
SUMMARY In the thesis, the yarlık ( firman ) and bitik ( letter ) belonging to the the Gorden Horde, Crimean, Kazan Khans are examined. By taking into consideration the roles played by these khans in the Turkish history and for the purpose of bringing light over the relationship between the different parts of the Turkish World that prevailed as of XVth century, it can be concluded that the document belonging to these area are of vital importance. Therefore it was necessary to translate and examine these document analitically, under the light of the latest information about the Turkology. Among the documents existing in the Istanbul Topkapı Sarayı Museum, there were certain yarliks and bitiks belonging to the sovereigns of Golden Horde Crimean, Kazan, Türkistan. These documents were first published by Akdes Nimet Kurat all in one book under the title of“ Topkapı Sarayı Müzesi Arşivinde Bulunan Altın Ordu, Kırım ve Türkistan Hanlarına Ait yarlık ve Bitikler ”and the book came out of publication in 1940 at İstanbul. There assesment of yarlık and bitiks was performed from the historical point of view no effort was seen in the direction of philological examination of these works. However, it bears importance as the first wide coverage study conducted in this country. In foreign environments foreign studies such as those made by Hammer, Berezin, Radloff, Samoyloviç, concentrates on yarlık and bitiks. In our thesis, in addition to the documents existing in the book of Akdes Nimet Kurat, there are also documents that were collected from other sources. In the thesis, five (5) documents belonging to the Golde Horde, eleven ( 11) documents belonging to Crimean field, two ( 2 ) documents about Kazan fields were examined. The introduction section of this study prepared in form of a thesis to meet master program requirements contains two parts. In part one, the history of Golden Horde, Crimean and Kazan Khans and the documents belonging to these fields are examined historically. In the second part, a general assesment of the yarlık and bitiks belonging to these fields were made from the point of view of Turkish language. In the section about reviews, the yarlık and bitiks were examined according to their language characteristics and fields and to the spelling, fonetics and morphology, taking them one by one. Also, the style examinations of the yarhk and bitiks were made. In this part, first the etimology and content of the words yarhk and bitik were examined and late, the yarhk and bitiks are formulated according to their fields seperatly and made subject of assesments. The deviating and uniting sections that merge at the same point were determined. In section about“ Text ”, transcripts of the yarhk and bitiks according to their fields again were presented in four different parts. In the transcripts of the224 yarlık and bitiks written with the Uygur alphabet, some special symbols were used in this thesis. In the documents each line was numbered. For the fileds to which the yarlık and bitiks belong cord letters such as A.K, Ka. were assigned. In addition, transcripts of the Arabic sections of the text were provided. In section about“ translations ”the yarlık and bitiks were introduced into the Turkish of Turkey. During translation, efforts were shown to translate word by word and by keeping alert not to differentiate the meaning. Additions are indicated in parantheses. Again, in the section, there are the translations of the arabic portions. In the section titled“ notes ”some words having special meanings, terms or names of individuals that are mentioned in the yarlık and bitiks were assesed by basing on the restricted resources available in this field. Social and economic terms used in the texts were analysed. '; In the section titled“ Contents ”the Kutadgu Bilig Index sequencing is taken as the base. After this, the index of“ person names ”and“ names of places”are attached. t@®^*
