ABSTRACT The subject material of this study consists of the evaluation of relationships between parental attitudes and the creative thinking of kindergarten children. Creative and open minded individuals capable of thinking indepently are needed in order to continue the fast-moving technological developments of our age. Creative individuals must be identified and creative thinking developed, while the society at large must be enlightened about the fine characteristics of creative thinking The object of this study is to identify a relationship between individuals creativity in childhood and their family and their parents attitudes, which establish the first step in the individual's development. The subjects of this study were students from three university associated kindergartens and their parents. In this study, the Torrance Creative Thinking Test was used in order to measure the creative thinking, while the parental attitude Research Instrument was used n> evaluate parental attitudes. Furthermore, the“Pearson product moments Correlation”statistical method was used in order to identify the relationship between parental attitudes and creativity. The t-test and“ANOVA”were used to statistically evaluate the differences in family structure and in the level of creativity. The results of this study show that between parental attitudes and the level of creativity, meaningful relationships exist only among some areas of parental attitudes and creativity levels. Further studies that look at the relationship between parental attitudes and creativity must be done on a larger scale so that the present studies can be evolved, and individuals' interest on this topic must be intensified. m
