Özet
Araştırma, aile içi çocuk istismarı ile bilişsel işlevler arasındaki ilişkiyi değerlendirmek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Ayrıca, aile içi çocuk istismarı ve bilişsel işlevler; ders başarı notları, cinsiyet, okul öncesi eğitim alma, kardeş sayısı, doğum sırası, anne yaşı, annenin doğum yaşı, annenin Türkçe bilmesi, annenin mezuniyet durumu, baba yaşı, babanın çalışıyor olması ve babanın mezuniyet durumu değişkenleri açısından incelenmiştir.Örneklem, araştırmacının çalışmakta olduğu ilde seçilen bir ilköğretim okulu 4. ve 5. sınıflarında öğrenim gören 64 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Katılımcılar 4. ve 5. sınıf öğrencilerinden oranlı küme örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilmiştir. Öğrencilere, Banu Bekçi ve Esra İşmen Gazioğlu (2006) tarafından geliştirilen ?Aile İçi Çocuk İstismarı Ölçeği ? B Formu? ve Jack A. Naglieri ve J. P. Das (1997) tarafından geliştirilen ve Tamer Ergin (2003) tarafından Türkçeye çevrilen ?Bilişsel Değerlendirme Sistemi (CAS)? uygulanmıştır. Bunlara ek olarak araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin çeşitli demografik ve ailevi özelliklerini saptamak için araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan ?Kişisel Bilgi Formu? da kullanılmıştır.Verilerin çözümlenmesinde Pearson Korelasyon Katsayısı ve Mann Whitney U Testi kullanılmıştır.Yapılan bu araştırmaya göre, Aile İçi Çocuk İstismarı ? B Formu'nun Fiziksel İstismar alt boyutu ile Bilişsel Değerlendirme Sistemi'nin Planlama, Dikkat, Ardıl Bilişsel İşlevler alt boyutları ve toplam puanı arasında ve Türkçe, Müzik, Beden Eğitimi ve Trafik ve İlkyardım ders başarısı arasında; Gelişimi Destekleme alt boyutu ile Eşzamanlı Bilişsel İşlevler, Ardıl Bilişsel İşlevler alt boyutları ve toplam puanı arasında ve Matematik, Fen ve Teknoloji, Sosyal Bilgiler, Yabancı Dil (İngilizce) ve Müzik ders başarısı arasında; Suça Yöneltme ve Cinsel İstismar alt boyutu ile Planlama, Ardıl Bilişsel İşlevler alt boyutları ve toplam puanı arasında ve Türkçe, Matematik, Fen ve Teknoloji, Sosyal Bilgiler, Yabancı Dil (İngilizce), Görsel Sanatlar Eğitimi, Müzik ve Trafik ve İlkyardım ders başarısı arasında; İhmalkarlık ve Duygusal Tehdit alt boyutu ile Dikkat alt boyutu arasında ve Türkçe, Fen ve Teknoloji, Trafik ve İlkyardım ders başarısı ilişki bulunmuştur.

The study was conducted to evaluate the relationship between the child abuse in the family and cognitive processes of students at 4th and 5th grades of a primary school of the Province of Van, E Turkey. Besides, these two subjects were examined in terms of academic achievement, gender, kindergarten attenddance, number of siblings in the family, birth order of the child, mother?s age, mothering age, mother?s education level, father?s age, father?s job status, father?s education level.Proportional cluster sampling method was used to establish the study sample of 64 students. The two scales used to evaluate the above mentioned relationship were, ?The Scale of Child Abuse in the Family? developed by Banu Bekçi and Esra İşmen Gazioğlu(2006) from Turkey and, ?Cognitive Assessment System? of Jack A. Naglieri and J.P. Das (1997) of Ohio State University and translated into Turkish by Tamer Ergin (2003) of University of İstanbul. In addition to these two scales, a third questionaire was prepared and used by the researcher to establish the demographical and some characteristics of each student.The data obtained was analysed through application of the Mann Whitney U Test and the Pearson Correlation Matrix.Results of the study indicated that The Scale of Child Abuse in the Family ? B Form?s Physical Abuse subscale is related to Cognitive Assesment System?s Planning, Attention, Succesive Processing subscales and total CAS score as well as with achievement levels in Turkish, music, physical training, traffic and first aid classes; Developmental Support subscale is related to Simultaneous Processing, Succesive Processing subscales and total score as well as with achievement levels in mathematics, science and technology, history and geography, foreign language (English) and music classes.; Corruption and Sexul Abuse subscale is related to Planning, Succesive Processing subscales and total CAS score as well as with achievement levels in Turkish, mathematics, science and technology, history and geography, foreign language (English), arts, music, traffic and first aid classes.; Neglect and Emotional Threat subscale is related to Planning subscale as well with achievement levels in Turkish, science and technology, science and technology, traffic and first aid classes.
