Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, Evlilik Öncesi İlişki Geliştirme Programı'nın romantik ilişkiler yaşayan üniversite öğrencilerinin iletişim becerileri, çatışma iletişim tarzları ve ilişki istikrarları üzerine etkisini incelemektir. Araştırmada, ön, son, izleme ölçümlü deneysel bir desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın denekleri en az altı aydan beri birlikteliği olan ve evlenmeyi planlayan üniversite öğrencisi çiftlerden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada deney ve kontrol grupları dörder çiftten oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmanın bağımlı değişkenlerinden iletişim becerisi ?İletişim Becerileri Envanteri?, çatışma durumundaki iletişim tarzları ?Çatışma İletişim Tarzları Ölçeği? ve ilişki istikrarı da ?İlişki İstikrarı Ölçeği? ile ölçülmüştür. Deney grubunda yer alan deneklere dokuz oturumdan oluşan Evlilik Öncesi İlişki Geliştirme Programı uygulanmıştır. Kontrol grubuna ise; bu süre içerisinde hiçbir uygulama gerçekleştirilmemiştir. Son test ölçümü deneysel işlemin bitmesinden 15 gün sonra, izleme testi ölçümü ise oturumların bitmesinden altı ay sonra gerçekleştirilmiştir. Verilerin analizi için non-parametrik testlerden ?Mann-Whitney U Testi?, ?Friedman Testi?, ?Wilcoxon İşaretli Sıralar Testi? kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda Evlilik Öncesi İlişki Geliştirme Programı'nın romantik ilişkiler yaşayan çiftlerin iletişim becerileri ve ilişki istikrarını geliştirmede etkili olduğu, fakat programın çatışmaya ilişkin olumlu iletişim tarzlarını geliştirmede etkili olmadığı bulunmuştur.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the effects of Premarital Relationships Enhancement Program on the communication skills and conflict communication style and relationship stability of couples who are university students. The research was designed according to pre-test, post-test and follow-up procedures. The subject of study is composed of university students who are together for at least six months and plan to marry. Experimental and control groups of research were composed of four couples. Dependent variables were measured by self-report measurements: Communication skills were measured by ?Communication Skills Inventory?, conflict communication styles were measured by ?Conflict Communication Styles Questionnaire? and relationship stability was measured by ?Relationship Stability Scale?. The Premarital Relationships Enhancement Program was implemented to the participants of the experimental group as a 9 sessions. But the control group did not receive any treatment. The post-test measures were collected after the experiments and follow-up measures were taken after six months from the end of the sessions. The data was analyzed by applying ?Mann-Whitney U Test?, ?Friedman Test? and ?Wilcoxon Singned Rank Test? of non-parametric tests. The results demonstrated that Premarital Relationships Enhancement Program was an effective program to increase communication skills and romantic relationship stability. But it was found that Premarital Relationships Enhancement Program did not have positive effect on conflict communication styles of university students.
