Özet
Bu çalışmada, kavramsal değişim metinlerinin, kavram yanılgılarının giderilmesi ve öğrenci başarısına etkisi araştırılmış olup, kullanılan yöntemin öğrencilerin fiziğe karşı tutumları üzerine etkisine ve öğrencilerin başarıları ile tutumları arasında bir ilişkinin olup olmadığına da bakıldı.Çalışmanın örneklemini, Marmara Üniversitesi Atatürk Eğitim Fakültesi Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği Anabilim Dalında iki farklı şubeden 123 ikinci sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Uygulama 2006-2007 eğitim-öğretim yılının ikinci döneminde gerçekleştirildi. Şubelerden birisi kavramsal değişim metinleri kullanılarak ders işlenen deney, diğeri ise geleneksel yöntemle ders anlatılan kontrol grubu olarak seçildi ve bu seçim rastgele yapıldı. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak Geometrik Optik Kavram Testi, Fizik Tutum Ölçeği olmak üzere başlıca iki ölçekten faydalanıldı.Çalışmada hipotezlerin test edilmesine yönelik olarak, ilişkisiz grup t-testi kullanıldı. Elde edilen sonuçlar incelendiğinde, öğrencilerin tutum ve başarı bakımından kavram yanılgılarının giderilmesinde, deney grubunun kontrol grubuna oranla daha başarılı olduğu tespit edildi.

In this study, the effects of conceptual change text on remediation of misconceptions and students? success were investigated. It is also aimed to determine the effects of the treatment on students? attitudes to physics and to find out any relation between attitudes and achievements of the students.The subjects of the study were 123 second year undergraduate students, who were in two different classes in the department of primary science education, in Atatürk Education Faculty, Marmara University. The treatment was carried out in the second semester of 2006-2007 academic term. One of the classes was randomly selected as experimental group and the other was selected as control group. While in the experimental group conceptual change text was used, traditional teaching methods were used in the control group. The data was collected by a geometric concept test and a physics attitude test.In order to test research hypothesis, independent group t-test was used. The results showed that the experimental group was more successful in concept test and it was found that experimental group also showed more positive attitude towards physics than the control group. In addition, the results indicated that the experimental group had less misconceptions than the control group after the treatment.
