Özet

6. ÖZET Tokat Merkez ilce köylerinde 1990-1992 yılları içerisinde yürüttüğümüz bu seleksiyon çalışması sırasında toplam 321 akaçtan meyve örneği alınmıştır. Bu örneklerde, önemli meyve kalite özellikleri ile verim durumu ve soğuğa dayanıklılık gibi ağaç özellikleri incelenmiştir. Çalışma sonunda 24 tip seçilmiştir. Seçilen bu tiplerde önemli meyve ve ağaç özellikleri aşağıda özetlenmiştir. 1- Mevve ağırlıkları Seleksiyon tiplerinde meyve ağırlıkları Niksar yöresinde seçtiğimiz tipler de dahil olmak üzere 9.56 gr. 7. SUMMARY STUDIES ON THE WALNUT IMPROVEMENT THROUGHT SELECTION CJuCTlans recria L.) IN TOKAT CENTRAL COUNTY VILLAGES. Totally 321 trees were sampled in this selection study, conducted at Tokat Central county villages during 1990-92. These samples were inspected for some important fruit quality characters and for some tree characters such as fruit yield and cold tolerance. 24 type were selected according to the results of this study. Important fruit and yield properties of these selected types were summarized as follows. 1. Fruit weight The fruit weight of selected types varied between 9.56 (M-30-7) and 16.01 (2-12-3) gr. 2. Kernel weight and kernel percentage The kernel weight of selected types have ranged from 4.76 gr (M-S-17) to 7.48 gr (M-S-25). Kernel weight of types M-18-25, N-6-5, N-6-7 and N-6-8, which were sampled only in 1991, were higher than those of the types which were sampled in 1990. Kernel weights of these types were found as 7.48, 7.13, 7.12 and 7.11 gr respectively. In the case of kernel percentages values of these types were the highest ones as 56.36, 55.44, 50.71 and 55.15 %, respectively. 3. Kernel color Light-yellow colored kernel ratios were ranged from 15 to 100 percent according to the selected types. Ten of these122 selected types had light-yellow colored kernels over 80 %. 4. Shell thickness The shell thickness of the selected types varied between 0.74 mm (N-6-7) and 1,34 mm (M-09-4). Only one type has thick shell more than 1.25 mm. 5. Chemical properties The protein contents of the selected types ranged between 14.73 % (M-S-17) "and 22.80 % (2-12-3). The protein contents of 18 types were found more than 18 %. The oil contents of the selected types found between 58.04% (M-36-4) and 73.65 % (M-S-17). Oil contents of ten selected types were higher than 70 %. The ash contents of selected types were between 1.38% (M-09-4) and 2.18 % (M-S-33). 6. Cold tolerance: Ratios of the damaged terminal buds by late frosts of spring were ranged from 10 (M-09-3, M-30-1, M-30-7, M-36-4) and 30 % (M-S-14-, M-41-12). 7. Yield (Fertility) In the selected types, ratios of lateral buds caryying female flower were found between 25 (M-36-4) and 80 % (M-36-5 2-20-2). Average numbers of female flowers per lateral bud were between 1.30 (M-36-4) and 2.55 (M-S-14). All of the selected types have been carrying female flowers on their lateral buds.12.z 8. Flowering habits Within the 18 selected types from central county, 13 types were protandrous, 4 types were protagynous, and one was homoganous.
