Özet

Bu çalışmamızda, genel olarak meta-etik ve meta-etik teoriler hakkında bilgi verdikten sonra bu alanda ortaya çıkan teorilerden birisi olan ?ahlâkî sezgiciliğin?, özellikle naturalist ve anti-realist ahlâk anlayışlarını benimseyen kişiler tarafından çok kolayca reddedilebilecek bir teori olarak görülmesine rağmen, temel tezleri itibariyle diğer teoriler içerisinde daha savunulabilir bir teori olduğunu ortaya koymaya çalıştık. Bu amacı gerçekleştirebilmek için de çalışmamızı birisi giriş olmak üzere toplam üç bölüme ayırdık. Girişte genel olarak ahlâk, etik ve meta-etik hakkında bilgi verdik. Birinci bölümde ahlâkî sezgiciliğin meta-etikteki yerini tespit etmek için, meta-etik teorilerin sınıflandırılmasından ve diğer meta-etik teorilerden genel olarak bahsettik. Tezimizin asıl amacı ahlâkî sezgiciliğin savunulabilirliğini ortaya koymak olduğundan, bu amacı gereçekleştirmenin ilk aşaması olarak, birinci bölümde ayrıca alternatif meta-etik teorilerinin başarısızlığını ortaya koymak için onlara yöneltilen eleştirileri sunduk.Bu şekilde alternatif teorilerin başarısızlığını ortaya koyduktan sonra çalışmamızın ikinci bölümünde çalışmamızın ana gövdesi olan ?Ahlâkî Sezgicilik? üzerinde yoğunlaştık. Bu bölümde ahlâkî sezgiciliğin ahlâk felsefesi tarihindeki gelişim seyrinden ve temsilcisi olarak görülen filozofların sezgicilikle bağlantılı fikirlerinden kısaca bahsedip, ahlâkî sezgiciliğin temel tezlerini tespit etmeye ve bunları açıklamaya çalıştık. Buna göre meta-etik bir teori olarak ahlâkî sezgicilik şu temel tezlerden oluşmaktadır: (1) Ahlâkî Realizm, (2) Ahlâkî niteliklerin naturel niteliklere indirgenemeyeceği anlayışı, (3) Bilişselciliğin ve temelselci bilgi anlayışının kabulü, (4) Ahlâkî inançların ahlâkî eylem için güdüleme ve gerekçe sağlayabileceği anlayışı.Sezgici teorinin temel tezlerini ortaya koyduktan sonra üçüncü bölümde bu tezleri desteklemek için sunulan kanıtları değerlendirmeye çalıştık. Sunulan bu kanıtlar sezgici teorinin savunulabilirliğini ortaya koyma sürecinde ikinci aşamayı oluşturacaktır. Bu bölümde ayrıca, sezgici teorinin savunulabilirliğini ortaya koymanın son aşaması olarak, bu teoriye yöneltilen eleştirileri ve sezgiciliğin modern dönemlerdeki savunucularının bu eleştirilere vermiş oldukları cevapları ele almaya çalıştık. Çalışmamızın sonucunda ahlâkî sezgiciliğin temel tezleri itibariyle diğer meta-etik teoriler karşısında daha savunulabilir bir teori olduğu, fakat onun temel tezlerinin daha ayrıntılı ve açık bir şekilde işlenmesi gerektiği sonucuna ulaştık.

In this dissertation, we aimed at examining meta-ethical theories and proving the defensibility of ethical intuitionism against alternative theories. To achieve this aim we divided our dissertation into an ıntroduction and three chapters. In ıntroduction we have given information about meta-ethics and meta-ethical problems. In the first chapter we gave general information about meta-ethical theories so that we could see the place of ethical intuitionism ın these theories. As our main aim is to prove the defensibility of ethical ıntuitionism against alternative meta-ethical theories, ın this chapter we also examined arguments against these theories. As the result of this examination we concluded that there are very serious problems for these theories.After this first stage ın the defense of ıntuitionism, ın the second chapter we examined basic thesis of ıntuitionism ın a more detailed way. According to this, ethical ıntuitionism as a meta-ethical theory consists of four basic thesis: (1) Moral realism, (2) Non-naturalism, (3) Cognitivism and foundational moral epistemology, (4) Internalism about moral motivation and moral rationalism about reasons for moral acts.In the third chapter, as second stage ın defense of ıntuitionism, we examined general arguments for these basic thesis of ethical ıntuitionism. In the third chapter, we also examined general arguments against ethical ıntuitionism and answers given by ıntuitionists. We concluded after this examination that these arguments against ıntuitionism are not very sound and they are answerable by ıntuitionists. So, at the end of this dissertation we concluded that ethical ıntuitionism as a meta-ethical theory which consist of above four basic thesis is more defensible theory against alternative theories ın the meta-ethical field.
