Özet

Parion Antik Kenti, Bu günkü Çanakkale ili, Biga İlçesi, Kemer Köyü sınırları içersindedir. Antik Troas Bölgesinin en önemli kentlerinden birisi olan Parion içinde bulundurduğu arkeolojik kalıntılar ile Türk arkeolojisine yeni bir heyecan getirmiştir.Bu çalışmanın konusu Parion Nekropolü'nde 2005-2010 yılları arasında gerçekleştirilen kazılarda ele geçen MÖ. 5.yy'dan MS. 2.yy'a kadar yayılım gösteren kandillerdir.Bu bağlamda Parion tarihi konusunda bir takım bilgiler verilmiş daha sonra çalışma konumuz olan kandillerinin tarihi ve kullanıma dair bilgiler verilmeye değerlendirilmiştir.Çalışma kapsamındaki bu kandiller burun formlarının özelliklerine göre yedi ayrı tipte sınıflandırılmıştır. Oluşturan tipolojide kandillerin burun formları dikkate alınmıştır. Benzerleri ve bulundukları mezarlardan ele geçen seramikler yardımıyla tarihlediğimiz kandiller bu mezarların tarihi ve Parion ölü gömme ritüelleri için önemli birer belge niteliğinde olacaktır. The Parion Ancient City is within the borders of the Kemer Village of Biga district of today?s Canakkale province. One of the most important cities of the Ancient Troas Region, Parion has brought a new excitement to the Turkish archeology with the archaeological remains it has within. The subject of this study is the candles uncovered during the excavations conducted in the Parion Necropolis between the years 2005 and 2010 of which were widely spread from 5th century BC until 2nd century AD.In this context, some information was provided on the history of Parion and later on more information regarding the date and use of these candles were tried to be provided which are the subject of this study.Within the scope of this study, these candles have been classified in seven different types according to the form features of their nose. On the tyhpology generated, the nose forms of the candles were taken into consideration. The candles we dated, with the help of similar ones and the unearthed ceramics from their graves, will be in the nature of a very important document in terms of dates of these graves and the burial rituals of the Parion. So far, there have been no archaeological findings uncovered related to the candle production at the Parion Ancient City, therefore no conclusion was reached in this study related to production.
