Özet

Kaliteli bir jenerik, film-dizi üzerine beklentiyi yükseltir ve seyirciyi izleyeceği yapımın atmosferine hazırlar. Jenerik, film/dizi?nin en önemli parçasıdır ve özel olarak hazırlanmaktadır. Günümüzde ayrı bir sektör olarak gelişmeye devam etmektedir. Jeneriklerde kullanılan grafik ve hareketli grafik (motion graphics) teknikleri, renkler, koreografi, kompozisyon, efektler, tüm görsel ve işitsel öğeler, filmin yapısını, karakterini özetleyen birer kurumsal kimlik gibidir. İlk kullanıldığı dönemlerden bugünlere kadar her geçen gün daha çok önemi algılanmış ve sürekli gelişim göstermiştir. Bu tez çalışmasında, jenerik tasarımının geçmişiyle bugünü araştırılmış ve televizyon dizilerinde kullanılan jenerik tasarımlarının içeriksel ve biçimsel olarak incelemesi yapılmıştır. Jeneriğin, filmin-dizinin başarısına katkı sağlaması, kimliğini oluşturması ve hem içeriksel hem de biçimsel olarak bir bütün oluşturması gerekmektedir. Her geçen gün hayatımızda daha fazla yer alan televizyon yapımları, teknolojik ve kültürel gelişimlere paralel olarak ilerleme ve sayı olarak artış göstermektedir. Bu durumda da rekabet ortaya çıkmaktadır. Rekabet içerisinden başarı ile ayırt olmak da kaliteli iş ve tanıtımlar ile sağlanmaktadır. Bu açıdan oldukça önemli olan jenerik konusu estetik ve teknolojik olarak örneklerle de desteklenerek teorik olarak incelenmiştir.

A generic of high quality, increases the expectation on the movie-series and makes the audience get used to the atmosphere of the production they are going to watch. Generic is the most important part of the motion picture and it is prepared dedicatedly. At the present time, it continues to improve as a separate sector. Motion graphic techniques, colors, choreography, effects and all the other visual and auditory elements used in the generic are like a corporate identity summarizing the character of the movie. The key people of the business have realized the importance of it since the very beginning of the industry and it has constantly been developing. This thesis examines the past and present condition of the generics and the generic designs used in TV series in terms of their form and context. A generic has to contribute to the success of the movie-series, form a corporate identity and form a wholeness regarding both the form and the context. TV productions that have a big part in our lives with the passing time make progress in parallel with the technological and cultural improvements and increases numerically. Therefore, a competition in industry is inevitable. To be distinguished among the competitive market is possible with the qualified work and presentation. The Generic subject, which is very important because of the reasons mentioned above, is examined theoretically with the support of the examples regarding aesthetics and technology.
