Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı ilköğretim okulu 8. sınıf öğrencilerine uygulamak üzere hazırlanacak olan değerler eğitimi programının öğrencilerin demokratik tutum ve davranışlarına etkisini belirlemektir. Araştırma ön test ? son test kontrol gruplu deneme modelinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplma aracı olarak Doğanay ve Sarı (2004) tarafından geliştirilen ?Demokratik Değerlere Bağlılık Ölçeği? kullanılmıştır. Ölçek, bağımsızlık, insan onuruna saygı, arkadaşlık, eşitlik, dürüstlük, sorumluluk, adalet, çeşitlilik, gizlilik ve çevreye saygı olmak üzere 10 alt başlıktan oluşmaktadır. Araştırma 2011-2012 eğitim-öğretim yılında Konya il merkezinde bulunan Meram Ayşe Sönmez İlköğretim Okulu 8. sınıf öğrencileri ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Gruplar oluşturulmadan önce veri toplama aracı olan ?Demokratik Değerlere Bağlılık Ölçeği? 8. sınıfa devam eden 180 öğrenciye ön test olarak uygulanmıştır. ?Demokratik Değerlere Bağlılık Ölçeği?nin uygulanması sonucu en düşük puanı alan, gönüllü 10 kız, 10 erkek öğrenci araştırmanın deney grubu, 10 kız 10 erkek öğrenciden oluşan ikinci grup ise kontrol grubu olmuştur. Böylece biri deney diğeri kontrol grubu olmak üzere çalışmaya iki grupta toplam 40 öğrenci dahil edilmiştir. Araştırmacı tarafından 10 hafta boyunca ders saatleri dışında deney grubuna ?Değerler Eğitimi Programı? uygulanmıştır. Kontrol grubu ise mevcut öğrenimlerinde devam etmiştir. Deney grubuna uygulanan program bittikten sonra geliştirilen programın öğrenciler üzerindeki ekisini belirleyebilmek için; programın bitiminde her iki gruba son test ve geliştirilen programın öğrenciler üzerindeki kalıcılığını belirleyebilmek için de; 4 hafta sonra her iki gruba kalıcılık testi uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin grup içi analizinde bağımlı örneklem t testi, gruplar arası analizinde ise bağımsız örneklem t testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularından elde edilen veriler şu şekilde özetlenebilir. 1. Uygulanan değerler eğitimi programı ilköğretim 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin demokratik tutum ve davranışlarını değiştirmiştir. 2. Uygulanan değerler eğitimi programı ilköğretim 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin bağımsızlık, insan onuruna saygı, arkadaşlık, eşitlik, dürüstlük, sorumluluk, adalet, çeşitlilik, gizlilik ve çevreye saygı alt boyutlarındaki demokratik tutum ve davranışlarını olumlu yönde değiştirmiştir.

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of education program which is called values education, which will be prepared in order to apply on the students? democratic manners and behaviors of 8. class in the premier education phase. The research has been realized within the control grouped trial model of pretest-posttest. Within the research the ?Scale of Commitment to Democratic Values? has been used as a data collection means which was developed by Doğanay and Sarı (2004). The scale is made of 10 under titles; independence, respect to human honor, friendship, equality, honesty, responsibility, justice, diversity, confidentiality and respect to the environment. The research has been carried out with the 8. class students of Meram Ayşe Sönmez Premier Education School situated in Konya city center during the 2011-2012 academic year. Before the groups have been formed, the data collection means ?Scale of Commitment to Democratic Values? has been applied to 180 students continuing to 8. class, as a pretest. As a result of applying ?Scale of Commitment to Democratic Values?, the test group of 10 volunteer girls and 10 volunteer boys who have taken the lowest point, and second group which was formed of 10 girls and 10 boys has been the control group. Thus 40 students have been included in the study, one of whom to be the testing and the other to be the control group. During 10 weeks the ?Values Education Program? has been applied to the test group for 10 weeks out of lesson periods. The control group has continued out on their current education. After the program which was applied to the test group has finished, in order for determining the effect of the developed program on the students; the last test to both the groups has been applied and in order for determining the permanence of the developed program on the students; the permanence test has been applied to both groups 4 weeks later. During the research for the analysis of procured data in-group, dependent sample t test, for the analysis of between groups independent sample t test have been applied. The data acquired from the research proofs can be summed up as following. 1. The applied values education program has changed the democratic manners & behaviors of premier education 8. Class students. 2. The applied values education program has changed the democratic manners and behaviors of premier education 8. Class students on the aspects of independency, respect to human honor, friendship, equality, honesty, responsibility, justice, diversity, confidentiality and respect to environment in the positive way.
