Özet
Risk Toplumu ve Gıda Güvenliği başlıklı çalışmamızda Ulrich Beckin Risk Toplumu Kuramı ve bu çerçevede gıda güvenliği incelenmiştir. Birinci Bölümü, çalışmanın amacı, önemi, kullanılan yöntem ve teknikler oluşturur. Araştırmanın kavramsal çerçevesi olarak da risk, tehlike, güvenlik, gıda ve gıda güvenliği ele alınmıştır. İkinci bölümde, sanayi öncesi ve sanayi sonrası toplumlarında risk kavramı ele alınarak, anlam ve içerik bakımından geçirdiği değişiklikler incelenmiştir. Bununla birlikte risk toplumunun özellikleri üzerinde durularak özellikle sınıflı toplumun ötesinde servet ve risk bölüşümü arasındaki ilişki incelenerek yeni bireycilik anlayışı, gelecek algısı ve riskler üzerinde durulmuştur. Üçüncü bölümde ise; risk toplumu bağlamında gıda güvenliği, gıda güvenliğini tehdit eden unsurlar ve bunların giderilmesi için yapılan çalışmalar üzerinde durulmuştur. Gıda güvenliğinin risk toplumundaki yeri incelenerek tüketilen gıdaların ve tüketim alışkanlığımızın sağlık üzerindeki etkisi incelenmiştir.

In our study entitled Risk Society and Food Safety , The Theory of Risk Society by Ulrich Beck and in this context the food safety have been examined.The first section involves the aim and importance of the study as well as the methods and techniquesthat are used in it. Besides, risk, danger, safety, food, and food safety have been discussed. In the secon section, as well as discussing the concept of risk in pre and post-industrial societies , the changes that it has undergone in terms of meaning and context have been studied.In addition to this, by laying stress on the features of risk society, the relation between distributions of risk and property especially beyond the social classes has been examined. Moreover, the stress has been laid on the insight of new individualism, the perception of future and risks as well. As for the third section, food safety in the content of risk society, the factors that thread the food safety and the efforts to remove them have been discussed. Besides the place of food safety in the risk society, the effects that the food consumed and our consumption habits have on health have been studied.
