Özet
Bu çalışma, acil servise başvuran dahili hastalara verilen hemşirelik hizmetlerinin tanımlanması ve hasta memnuniyetine etkisini belirlemeye yönelik tanımlayıcı nitelikte yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemini Ocak-Temmuz 2011 tarihleri arasında Cumhuriyet Üniversitesi Hastanesi acil servisine başvuran acil dahili hastalığı bulunan 84 hasta oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturan tüm bireylere, sosyo-demografik bilgileri, sosyal güvenceleri, acil birime geliş şekli, sonlanma durumları, başvuru nedenlerini belirlemek amacıyla araştırmacı tarafından literatürden yararlanılarak hazırlanmış hasta tanıtım formu, verilen hemşirelik hizmetlerini belirlemek için hemşirelik hizmetleri tanımlama formu ve acil birimde görevli hemşirenin hastaya davranışı, hastayı kontrol etme sıklığı, bilgilendirmesi, hemşireye ulaşabilme kolaylığı, acil birimin konforu ve genel memnuniyet durumunu ile acil birimde bekleme ve toplam kalış sürelerini belirlemek için acil birime başvuran hastalarda memnuniyet düzeyi formu uygulanmıştır. Veriler; SPSS 15 paket programında ki kare testi, frekans dağılımı, aritmetik ortalama kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Yapılan çalışmanın sonucunda, acil birimde en çok verilen hemşirelik hizmetleri olarak, acil müdahaleye hazırlama, anamnez alma, yaşam bulgularını değerlendirme, ilaç uygulamasında bulunma, kan ve sıvı infüzyonu, oksijen uygulaması ve mahremiyete özen gösterme olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, hastaların acil birimdeki memnuniyetlerini etkileyen etmenlerin hastaya sağlanan bakım niteliği ve acil birime ait özellikler olduğu saptanmıştır. Özellikle hemşire davranışı ve bilgilendirmesinin en önemli etken olduğu bulunmuştur. Çalışmada elde edilen sonuçlar doğrultusunda, acil hemşiresinin görev, yetki ve sorumluluklarının iyi belirlenmesi ve hastaya bütüncül bakım vermede, hemşirelerin bilgi ve duyarlılıklarının artırılması konusunda önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

This study was carried out as a descriptive to describe the nursing services to the medical patients admitted to the emergency unit and to determine the patient satisfaction. The sample of the study included 84 patients had an emergency medical illness and admitted to the Emergency Unit from January to July 2011 in the Cumhuriyet University. In the all the individuals of the study sample, patient information form prepared by using the literature by the investigator was used to determine socio-demographic data, social security, the arrival type of emergency department, the status of the termination, the causes of admission; nursing services identification form to determine the nursing services given to patients and the level of satisfaction form for patients admitted to emergency department were used to determine the behavior and control frequency to the patient, to inform the patient of the emergency department nurse, the patient's ease of access to the nurse, emergency unit, comfort and overall satisfaction status of emergency department, waiting time and total length of staying. The data were evaluated with package program SPSS 15 using Chi-square test, frequency distribution, arithmetic mean. As a result of the study, it was found that intervening emergantly, history taking, assessment of vital signs, deliver a drug, blood and fluid infusion, oxygenize, respect for privacy were the most common nursing services provided to the patients in emergency department. In addition, the quality of care provided to the patient and characteristics of emergency department were found to be the factors affecting the satisfaction of the patients in the emergency unit. In particular, behavior of nurses and informing were found to be the most important factor. According to the results obtained in this study, some recommendations are made to define well emergency nurses? duties, powers and responsibilities and to increase nurses' knowledge and sensitivity to provide holistic care to the patient.
