Özet

AMAÇ: Psoriasisli hastalarda fototerapinin yaşam kalitesine etkisini ortaya koymak. GEREÇ VE YÖNTEMLER: Çalışmaya 18 yaş ve üstü, okuma-yazma bilen, kronik plak psoriasisli 46 hasta alındı. Hastaların sosyodemografik bilgileri kaydedildi ve Psoriasis Alan Şiddet İndeksi (PAŞİ) değerleri belirlendikten sonra Dermatoloji Yaşam Kalite İndeksi (DYKİ), Kısa Form-36 (KF-36) ve Psoriasis İşlev Kaybı İndeksi (PİKİ) uygulandı. Hastalık şiddeti ve deri tipine uygun olarak bir hastaya PUVA, 45 hastaya Darband UVB başlandı. Tedavinin birinci ve üçüncü ayında PAŞİ ölçümü ile birlikte üç ölçek de yeniden uygulandı. BACKGROUND: Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease affecting men and women equally and is seen in approximately 1-2 of the population worldwide. It is characterized by erythematous-squamous plaques relapsing with exacerbations and remissions. It is now considered a systemic inflammatory disorder because of the associated comorbidities in severe cases. Psoriasis, regardless of its extent, can have a negative impact on patients? quality of life. Therefore several psoriasis-spesific quality of life questionnaires have been developed to date. Not only the clinical severity and objective physical citeria, also the term ?quality of life? which gained a great importance in recent years and patients?s self-perceptions of their disease is now taken into consideration both in the treatment decision and in the assessment of the efficacy of the therapy. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effect of the phototherapy on the quality of life in patients with psoriasis MATERIAL & METHODS: This study included 18 lettered patients over the age of 18 with chronic plaque psoriasis. The sociodemographic data were recorded and Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI), Short Form-36 (SF-36) and Psoriasis Disability Index (PDI) were applied following the assessment of the Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) score. According to the disease severity and skin type, 45 patients started Narrowband UVB; whereas only one PUVA. In the first and third months of the therapy, PASI and three instruments are reapplied.
