ABSTRACT The seismic behaviour of rigid joints capable of moment transfer used in precast concrete structures are 'being investigated in our country but these investigations are not enough yet, since the connections are the weakest links in the prefabricated structures so there have to be so many more investigations should be done on this subject. In this research, a rigid joints is investigated under the cyclic load. This type of joint is often used in our country. At the start of the investigation, we have not changed details of the connection. Therefore,, if there is a problem with the detail of connection which is often used in - the prefabricated structures, it will be noticed. That was cour first aim at this investigation. The beginning of this research covers the general knowledge of the connections that are used in precast concrete structures. At the second part there are some researches about the rigid joints that are tested under the seismic load. At the last part the experimental investigation of this thesis is given with results and conclusions. At the results of the test, it was observed that the joints have to be made stronger with stirrups and the main beam reinforcements have to be welded with extra steel to the steel plate from the bottom of the beam. We had tested one connection because we did not have enough time and there was a financial problem so the testing of joints was expensive. Therefore the investigations have to continue using the results of this research. B
