Özet
İnsanlık tarihi boyunca barınma en temel ihtiyaçlardan olmuştur. Önceleri yalnızca ihtiyacı karşılamaya yönelik olan konutlar zamanla konfor ve işlevsellik açısından da değerlendirilmeye başlanmıştır. Bu tezin amacı; gelişen ve değişen teknolojiyi kullanarak tarihi yapılarda günümüz ihtiyaçlarını karşılayabilmek ve yapıları korumaktır. Tezde mobil ıslak hacimlerin tarihi yapılara entegrasyonu incelenmektedir. 'Tarihi yapılarda taşınabilir mobil ıslak hacimlerin ilavesinde müdahale yöntemleri' adlı çalışmamın birinci bölümünde, eski İstanbul otelleri ve günümüzde bulundukları durum incelenmektedir. İkinci bölümünde ıslak hacimler,tasarım ilkeleri ve ıslak hacimlerde kullanılan gereçler, ıslak mekanların tarih boyunca geçirdiği evreler ve günümüzde geldikleri nokta incelenmektedir. Üçüncü bölümde mobil konut kavramı, tarihçesi ve tarih boyu geçirdiği evreler incelenmektedir. Mobil ıslak hacimler ve örneklere yer verilmiş, tesisatları incelenmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde mobil ıslak hacim kullanılan ve kullanılmayan iki tarihi otel; tarihçeleri ve ıslak hacimleri ile incelenmiş, kullanılmayan otele mobil ıslak hacim projesi geliştirilmiştir.

Sheltering is one of the most important needs for human being throughout the history of mankind. Anciently, residences only meet the sheltering needs of people, but nowadays comfort and functionality are being embedded to basic residences. The main purpose of this thesis is applying the continuously developing and changing technology to historical buildings in order to articulate the needs of this era such as comfort and functionality besides basic needs without compromising the authenticity of these buildings. In my thesis, I will elucidate the integration of portable bath and kitchen solutions to the historical buildings. In the first chapter of my thesis, namely“Methods for Integrating Portable Wet Areas to Historical Buildings”, historic İstanbul hotels are being examined and their current situation is considered. In the second chapter, wet areas, their design principles, the tools that are being used in their construction and their evaluation throughout the history are examined. In the third chapter, the mobile residence concept, and its progression throughout the history is investigated. Wet areas and plumbing of these residences are also being inspected and several examples of these residence concepts are shown. In the fourth chapter, two historical hotels and their wet areas were inspected, one has mobile wet areas and the other does not. Additionally a mobile wet area installment project was developed for the hotel which currently does not have mobile wet areas.
