Özet
La faisabilité des programmes de rotation sur le plan technique et économiquea un impact significatif sur la réussite de la production bio. Le but de cetteétude a donc été de tester l'effet de différentes cultures améliorantes du sol, ycompris les légumineuses qui peuvent être utilisées comme engrais vert (Viciasativa) ou pour la production de grains (Vicia faba), et d'une variétécommerciale de broccoli (Brassica oleracea var. Italica) sur le rendement et laqualité de la tomate cultivée biologiquement. Par ailleurs, on a utilisé commetémoin une parcelle en jachère. Au cours de la croissance de la tomate, lafertilité a été maintenue en utilisant un compost commercial apporté sous deuxformes: comme compost seul et comme compost complémenté par le jus decompost. Les traitements ont été réalisés suivant un dispositif en parcellesdivisées (split-plot), avec quatre répétitions et deux facteurs représentés par lescultures améliorantes et la fertilisation, respectivement. Le compost seul aaugmenté significativement le rendement de la tomate. Le rendement le plusélevé a été obtenu dans le cas de l'interaction entre la féverole et le compost.La première année, les deux facteurs n'ont exercé aucun effet important sur laqualité de la tomate pas plus que sur l'azote total, le phosphore disponible et lateneur en potassium dans le sol. L'utilisation de la vesce commune et l'apportdu compost ont assuré la marge brute la plus élevée en raison du rendementélevé couplé aux faibles coûts de production.Mots-clés: Biologique, rotation, cultures améliorantes, fertilité, compost/jus decompost, tomate, marge brute.

Technical and economic feasibility of rotation programs have significantimpact on the success of organic production. This study was designed to testthe effect of different soil building crops including legumes to be used as greenmanure (Vicia sativa), for grain production (Vicia faba) and a commercial cropbroccoli (Brassica oleracea var. Italica) on tomato yield and quality underorganic management. A fallow control was used. During the tomato growth,fertility was maintained by a commercial compost supplied in two forms:compost alone and compost complemented with compost tea. Treatmentswere arranged in a split plot design with four replicates and two factors havingas main factor the soil building crops and as second factor the fertilization.Compost alone increased tomato yield significantly. The highest yield wasobtained in the interaction faba bean and compost. Both factors did not haveany marked effect on tomato fruit quality and on soil total N and available Pand K contents in the first year. Common vetch and compost application gavethe highest gross margin due to a combination of high yield and lowproduction costs.
