Obesity is one of the major health problem. There are different factors that contribute to development or maintenance of obesity. .Environmental cues affect obesity. Attentional bias toward food related stimuli has been commonly observed in obese people Nederkoorn, Bradley, & Jansen (2011) Impulsivity is also one of the psychological factors that linked with obesity. High level of impulsivity has been observed in obese subjects and waiting impulsivity is one of the subtypes of impulsivy and can be described as inability to inhibit motor response (Worbe et al., 2014). 20 obese subject and 18 healthy age and gender matched subjects were tested in a fasted state.5 Choice Serial Reaction Time Task (5CSRTT) and Dot Probe Task were administered as behavioural tasks. Waiting impulsivity was measured with 5CSRTT and attentional bias was measured by Dot Probe Task. No premature response difference was found between two groups in 5CSRTT. Even though no main and interaction effect was found, significant mean difference was found in Dot Probe Task. In conclusion, this study can give better understanding the role of impulsivity and attentional bias in obesity and this study may have important long-term implications for assessing, understanding and treating obesity.
