As the Syrian Civil War marks its 5th year, the ongoing conflict have never seem to come an end both for the Syria and effected neighboring countries. Internally and externally displaced more than 4 million Syrian refugees are continuing their lives outside of their hometowns, but ongoing and never solved political, economic, social and artifical reasons have already transformed some groups inside them to refugee insurgents which overwhelmingly changed internal security dynamics of refugee recipient cities of Turkey and Lebanon, two countries which have biggest Syrian refugee populations inside their territories. This research has based on a comprehensive hypothesis that covers different perspectives on the issue generated through an extensive literature review sourced from news, NGO reports, governmental statistics and academic literature and tests this hypothesis on six different incidents happened in Turkey and Lebanon since the beginning of Syrian Civil War with support of two contemporary theories, Comprehensive Theory of Refugee Militarization and Securitization Theory. This dissertation consists of five chapters; Introduction, two different country-based incident analysis chapters, general research finding chapter and recommendations chapter. As result of the research, we have reached two major findings; first, Syrian refugees have increased number of asymmetric attacks in refugee recipient cities of Turkey and Lebanon and, second, massive refugee influx to both countries have not directly but vicariously triggered other terrorist motivations and actors because of numerous political, social, economic and artificial reasons.
