This M.Phil dissertation contains an annotated translation of Spill Simmer Falter Wither by Sara Baume from its original English into Turkish. It consists of two parts. The first part concentrates on introducing the author, presenting the text, indicating its interest and certain difficulties it might present. It is followed by a brief understanding of the target language suggesting some grammatical drawbacks inherent in translating between the two languages, an overview of translation problems and a conclusion underlining the strategies, procedures and plausible solutions. The second part presents the annotated translation with a number of footnotes providing a clarification of some problems dealing with some theoretical points and justification of certain approaches.
