This Research Thesis is focused on growing a small business. The author will use as the foundation of this project a business plan designed around the past experience and future needs of Star Locksmith. This research is intended to show how a small business can grow and thrive effectively and efficiently in a competitive business world. This project will also try to help small businesses increase their sales, productivity, profitability, and ability to organize, with specific application to Star Locksmith. Literature was reviewed on key factors of business success and the challenges businesses face as well as strategic management, and strategic marketing. A survey was done of potential locksmith customers and an interview with the Star Locksmith's owner. The paper concludes with a business plan for growing Star Locksmith in the next five years. By using this plan, business owners can help their company grow and also secure the future of their small firm. This study is crucial to meeting the needs of today's small businesses, as well as a guide to show them the road to success.
