SUMMARY The tale deals with true and imaginary stories. It starts with the beginning of the human race and it has a magical effect on the building of people's character since childhood. The tale in the ancient Arab literature used to deal with old traditions, customs, wore, heroes and love. When Islam spread in the Arab peninsula, religious stories began to appear. At the same time Foreign classical literature and culture were translated into Arabic. The“Makamat”, a kind of press which was recited at the presence of the Caliph, was also written down Depending on the different scientific references, we believe that the work of the rich Islaman and Arab literature had great in flounce on the western literature and culture. As a result of this, short stories began to appear in Europe in the eighteenth century. A short story is within one thousand and five hundred words, it has a message to the readers and it is used in education and teaching languages. The short story appeared in the Islamic world towards the and of the nineteenth century under the in flounce of the European literature.
