ABSTRACT A right desicionin the selection o-F the plant location has vital importance -For both the future o-F the -firm and the use o-F national resources efficiently as a factor for the strengthening of national economy. Researchs on the small and medium size firms, which have a significient place in the national economy, show the fact that most of them do not make preliminery feasibility study and, in addition to this, they do not attach importance to the selection of the plant location. Onee of the basic disadvantages of the small and medium size firms is their charakter of having small amount of capital which causes a loss in their credibility and therefore making difficult for them to find necessary financial sources in financial markets. As a result of this financial deficit, which makes difficult for them to endure for the increasing costs and decreases their comperati tiveness, the small and medium size firms, in the case of an unappropr iate location, go to bankruptcy and close their plants in a short time.
