Özet
Bursa'nın“Tarihi Coğrafyası”adı ile hazırlanan çalışma Bursa şehrinin tarihi ve coğrafik özellikleri kronolojide dikkate alınarak incelenmiştir. Bursa coğrafyasının tarih içindeki yeri, burada yaşayan insanların bölgedeki hareketleri, siyasi idareleri, kültürel hayatları, nüfus hareketlerine bakılmıştı. Ayrıca kısa bir şekilde Bursa coğrafyasının doğal özellikleri de incelenmiştir.Çalışmada Bursa isminin menşei ne değinilmiş, Osmanlılar devrine kadar kısa bir Daha sonra Bursa'da Osmanlı dönemine kadar iskan, yönetim ve siyasi Osmanlı döneminde Bursa, İdari, İktisadi, Nüfus ve İskân açısından incelenmiştir. Bursa'nın coğrafi konumu, iklim ve yeryüzü şekilleri yer verilmiştir.Coğrafi konum itibari ile ticaret yolları üzerinde bulunan Bursa'nın Ticaret üzerindeki yeri öneminden bahsedilmiştir.

The study named“The Historical Geography of Bursa ”analyses the historical and geographical peculiarities of Bursa paying attention to chronology. In the research, the place of Bursa geography in history, the cultural and political realities of people's lives and demographic situation are considered. Moreover, the brief research of Bursa's natural features is introduced.The origin of city's name and extracts from the Ottoman History review are taken into consideration. Furthermore, the settlements of people, governmental and political system, and economical situation in Bursa are described. The study of the above mentioned realities includes the period of Ottoman age. The geographical position, climate and landscape of Bursa take place in the research.In the frame of Bursa's geographical position study special importance was given to the fact that Bursa is situated on trade routes and due to it, Bursa has great significance in the field of trade. The review of Bursa's historical and geographical peculiarities based on traveling guide, materials which concern the last period of Ottoman history and geography was conducted.There are a number of maps and pictures of Bursa included in order to support the research.
