Özet

In this thesis, two Schiff base ligands derived from 2,6-diformylpyridine and their Mn(II) and Fe(III) complexes were prepared and characterized by the spectroscopic and analytical techniques. Molecular structure of the ligand L1 was determined by single crystal x-ray diffraction study. Absorption and photoluminescence behavior of the synthesised ligands and their metal complexes were invistigated in methanol solution. The thermal stability of the ligands and their metal complexes was also studied under N2 atmosphere. Finally Superoxide dismutase activity of the complexes were tested and results were discussed in detail.
