Özet
Bu çalışma, hemşirelik bölümü öğrencilerin lezbiyen ve geylere yönelik tutumlarını ve bu tutumlara etki eden faktörleri belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Tanımlayıcı nitelikteki çalışmanın evrenini, Okan Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi Hemşirelik bölümüne devam eden 192 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Örneklem seçimine gidilmeden evren üzerinde çalışılmak istenmiş, ancak veri toplama tarihlerinde devamsızlık yapan ve çalışmaya katılmak istemeyen öğrencilerin olması nedeniyle 162 (%84,4) öğrenci örneklemi oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama işlemine başlanmadan önce etik kurul onayı alınmış; araştırmanın verileri 8-31 Mayıs 2017 tarihleri arasında toplanmıştır. Veriler, demografik özelliklere yönelik anket formu ve bireylerin eşcinsellere yönelik tutumlarını belirlemek amacıyla Herek (1998) tarafından geliştirilmiş, Duyan ve Gelbal (2004) tarafından Türkiye için geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışması yapılmış olan“Lezbiyen ve Geylere Yönelik Tutum (LGYT) Ölçeği”ile elde edilmiştir. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde, sayı-yüzdelik hesaplamaları, Kruskal Wallis testi, Man Whitney U testi, t testi ve Anova testleri kullanılmıştır. Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin %35,8'inin tanıdığı gey/lezbiyen birey olduğu, %66'sının gey/lezbiyenlerle arkadaşlık edeceğini belirttiği, %79'unun ailesinde gey/lezbiyenler ile ilgili konuşulmadığı ve %40,1'inin ebeveynlerin gey/ lezbiyenlere yönelik görüşlerinin olumsuz olduğu belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin, %16'sı hemşire olarak gey/lezbiyen bireye bakım verdiğini ve %87,7'si gey/lezbiyen bireye bakım vermenin diğer bireylere bakım vermekten farklı olmadığını ifade etmiştir. Öğrencilerin Lezbiyen ve Geylere Yönelik Tutum (LGYT) Ölçeği puan ortalaması 27,88±9,28 olarak bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin cinsiyetleri, devam ettikleri sınıf, ailesinin sosyo-ekonomik durumu, gey/lezbiyen birey tanıma durumu, gey/lezbiyen birey ile arkadaşlık etme durumu, ailesinde gey/lezbiyenler ile ilgili konuşulma durumu, ebeveynlerin gey/ lezbiyenlere yönelik görüşleri ve gey/lezbiyen bireye bakım verme konusundaki görüşleri ile LGYT ölçeği puan ortalaması arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık saptanmış (p0,05). Çalışma sonucunda, hemşirelik öğrencilerinin eğitimleri sırasında farklı cinsel tercihleri olan bireylere yaklaşım konusunun kapsamlı şekilde ele alınması ve bu bireylere yönelik önyargılarınının giderilmesine yönelik eğitimlere yer verilmesi önerilmektedir.

This study was conducted to determine the attitudes of the nursing students towards lesbians and gays and the factors affecting these attitudes. The universe of the descriptive work was created by 192 students who went on to the Nursing Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Okan University. 162 (84.4%) students were sampled because they wanted to work on the universe to select the sample but because of the students who were absent from the data collection dates and did not want to participate in the study. Ethical committee approval was obtained before data collection was started; The data of the research were collected between 8-31 May 2017. The data were obtained by the questionnaire form for demographic characteristics and the“The Attitudes toward Lesbians and Gay Men Scale (ATLG-R)”developed by Herek (1998) and conducted by the Turkish version of Duyan and Gelbal (2004) to determine the attitudes of individuals towards homosexuals. Number-percentage calculations, Kruskal Wallis test, Man Whitney U test, t test and Anova tests were used in the evaluation of the data. It was found that 35.8% of the students were gay / lesbian individuals, 66% were gay / lesbian friends, 79% were not talking about gay / lesbians in their family and 40.1% of parents had negative opinions about gay / lesbian It has been identified. Of the students, 16% stated that they gave care to a gay / lesbian individual as a nurse and 87.7% stated that giving a gay / lesbian individual care was no different from giving care to other individuals. The average score of the students' scores on The Attitudes toward Lesbians and Gay Men Scale (ATLG-R) was found as 27,88 ± 9,28. The gender of the students, the class they attend, the socio-economic status of their family, the status of the gay / lesbian individual, the status of friendship with the gay / lesbian individual, the talk about gay / lesbian family, the parents' views towards gay / lesbian, There was a statistically significant relationship between the opinions of the donor and the ATLG-R scores (p 0,05). As a result of the study, it is suggested that nursing students should take a comprehensive approach to approaching individuals with different sexual preferences during training and educate them about their prejudices against these individuals.
