Özet
Osmanlı vergi sisteminde farklı bir yeri olan Atçekenlik sistemi içerisinde yer alan Esbkeşan mukataasının 1831 nüfus sayımında elde edilen verilerin incelenmesi ve analizi esasına dayandırılan bu çalışma, birkaç yönüyle ele alınmıştır. Öncelikle adı geçen mukataada yer alan defterlerin transkripsiyonu yapılmıştır. Transkripsiyon sonucu elde edilen veriler kendi içerisinde sınıflandırılarak ilgili alanlarda kullanılmak üzere farklı başlıklar altında gruplandırılmıştır. Verilerin bütünlüğünden hareket edilerek mukataa içerisinde yer alan nüfusa yönelik tablo ve grafik çalışmaları yapılarak verilerin analizi ve günümüz demografik yapısı ile olan ilişkisi tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bir diğer çalışma ise bölge nüfusunun hareket ve yönünü belirleyen siyasi ve ekonomik olayların tarihi arka planı incelenmeye çalışılarak hem tarih içerisindeki nüfus ve yerleşmelerin yapısı hem de günümüz nüfus ve yerleşmesi üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Bölgede yer alan yerleşmelerin insan menşei üzerinde kısmen durulmuş, sayımın yapıldığı dönemlerdeki yerleşmeler tanıtılmaya çalışılmıştır. Defterlerde yer alan yerleşmelerin günümüzdeki durumları da incelenerek bölge içerisindeki nüfusun günümüz yapısına değinilmiştir. Yapılan bu çalışmalar neticesinde Atçekenlik Sistemi ve bu sistemin içerisinde yer alan nüfusun Celali İsyanları gibi sorunlarla tarihi süreç içerisindeki hareketliliği incelenmiştir. Tüm demografik verilerin yorumlanması ve nüfusun farklı yönleriyle analizinin yapılması amaçlanmıştır. Transkripsiyon sonucu nüfusun hem rakamsal verileri elde edilmiş hem de bölge içerisinde yer alan yerleşimlerin durumları, ekonomik faaliyetlerle kısmın de olsa insanın fiziksel yapısı hakkında bilgiler elde edilmiştir. Bununla birlikte nüfusun tarih sürecindeki hareketi, hareketinin nedeni ve yönü tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler analiz edilerek yapılacak olan benzer ve daha geniş çalışmalar için bilgi niteliğinde yer almıştır.

It is studied on Esbkeşan rigion's pupulation registry booksthat were kept in 1831 population census.This study, based on investigation and analyze of the data obtained from 1831 census of Esbkeşan region which took place in“Atçekenlik sistem, having a distinctive place in Ottaman tax system, is tackled with several aspects.First of all, the transcription of the census books of mentioned region is copleted. Result data og transcription is classified within itself and grouped as various titles to be used in related subject. Starting from integrity of data, by the ways of trying to form a tables and graphics, directed to the population of the region, it is tried to analyze the data and identify the relationship with today's demographic structure. In other study by trying to investigate historical background of economical and political events that define the dirction and migration of gegion population, both structure of population ond settlement throughout the history and effect of today'spopulationand settlement are investigated. It's partly focused on the human origins of settlements of the region and settlements that were in the time of census tried to introduce. By investigating todaya's conditions of the settlements that are written in boks the structure of today's population in the region is mentioned. As a result of these studies, Atçeken system and in the course of historical sit Uation of population placed in this system with problems such as ”Jelali Revolts" are investigated and comment of the all demographic various aspects are aimed. As a result of transcription, both numeral dada and the knowladge about the situation of settlements of region, even if human physical structure are gathered. Besides, the population's movement throughout the history and cause of movement and direction are defined. The data that is gathered is put as a knowledge far the similar and more comprehensive future studies that will be done by analyzing.
