Özet
VI ÖZET Meslek Yüksek Okulları (MYO) planlamasına genel bir yaklaşım getirmeyi planlayan bu çalışma ilk olarak Mesleki ve Teknik Eğitim kavramının anlatılmasıyla başlar. Bu ilk bölümde ayrıca mesleki ve teknik eğitim sisteminin gelişim süreci içinde MYO'lannın oluşumuna yer verilmiştir. Yükseköğrenim sistemimiz içinde MYO'lannın yeri, eğitim programlan ve amaçlan bize genel bilgileri kazandırmıştır. Bölüm III' de MYO'ları modeline denk sayabileceğimiz, iki yurtdışı okul modeli, irdelenmiştir. Site özellikleri, plan şemaları ve mekansal özellikleri ile ilgili yaptığımız irdelemelerden MYO planlamasına ilişkin yaklaşımlar çıkarmayı amaçladık. Yine bu bölümde yurtdışından, mesleki ve teknik eğitim yapan okul projeleri incelenmiştir. Okullar seçilirken, MYO'lanna en yakın özellikle olanlar tercih edilmiştir. Bölüm IV'de ele aldığımız Manisa bölgesindeki MYO'lan genel olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Manisa'nın seçilmesindeki amaç farklı üç gruptaki eğitim programlarının, Türkiye geneline de uyum gösteriyor olmasıdır. İş eğitimi, tanm eğitimi ve endüstriyel sanatlarla, ilgili programlar, MYO'lannın ana eğitim programlandır. Manisa'nın ilçelerinde yeralan MYO'lan çok yeni kurulmuşlardır ve kırsal bölgelerde yeralan“bölgesel okul”özelliği gösterirler. MYO'lannın son yıllarda, tesis ve donanım eksikliklerine rağmen hızla yaygınlaşmasından doğan sorunlar olduğunu söylemiştik. Bu nedenle okulların tasanmlan için bölge olarak bize çok yakın olan Manisa'yı seçerek bazı verilerden yararlandık ve fikirler ürettik. Ağırlıklı olarak kırsal kesimde yeralan MYO'lan üzerinde durduk. Yine bu bölümde Manisa'dan ve diğer bölgelerden topladığımız birkaç okul örneğini değerlendirdik.vn V. Bölüm MYO'lannın planlanmasına ilişkin genel yaklaşımları içeren bölümdür. Burada öncelikli olara site seçimi değerlendirilmiştir. Eğitim Programlarının en önemli form üreticisi olduğu düşüncesinden hareket ettik. IV. bölümde Manisa' daki okulların eğitim programlarını gruplandırmıştık. Türkiye genelinde de karşılaşbileceğimiz bu programların, özel mekan gereksinimlerini tanımlamaya çalıştık ve planlamayı nasıl etkileyeceklerini gördük. Ayrıca bu programda kapsamlı olmasada örnek bir MYO programı için mekan gereksinimlerini saptadık. Sonuç bölümünde ise, araştırmalarımız boyunca bize en çarpıcı gelen ve MYO planlamasında etkili olan bazı kavramlar üzerinde durduk. Ağırlıklı olarak ele aldığımız MYO'lannın özel eğitim mekanlarının, okul planlamasını nasıl etkileyebileceğini gördük.

ABSTRACT This study whose objective is to bring a general approach to the planning of the MYO (Higher Education Schools), begins with the defınition of the concept of vocational and Technical Education. in this second chapter, the place the MYO's constitute in the development process of the vocational and technical education is also included. The MYO's status in the higher education system, the educational programs and targets provide us with general information. in chapter three, two foreign school models relatively close to the MYO's have been examined. We have aimed to come up with approaches related to the MYO by studying their site characteristics, plan schematics and special features. Again in this chapter is the examination of the foreign vocational and technical education schools' projects. These schools have been chosen from those which are closest to the MYO's with their characteristics. Chapter four consists of the general evaluation of the MYO's in Manisa, the region we have chosen. The feature that has lead us to choose Manisa as the subject province is that the three different groups of programs provided are in accordance with the rest of the nation. Business education, agricultural education and industrial arts are the main educational programs of the MYO's. The MYO's in Manisa are recently founded and the ones in the districts show“regional school”characteristics. We had mentioned that there were big problems rising from the rapid spread of the MYO's regardless of the defıciencies in facility and equipment. in this respect, for school design, we have chosen Manisa as the region and produced ideas by making use of some data. We concentrated on the MYO's in the rural areas. Also in this chapter is the evaluation of a few schools in Manisa and other provinces.V The fıfth chapter is composed of the general approaches related to the planning of the MYO's. Here, site selection has been the primary evaluation. This was decided upon the assumption that it is the most important form producers of educational programs. in the fourth chapter, we had classified the educational programs in Manisa. We tried to identify the specialized space necessities of these programs, which can be applied across Turkey, and observed how they effected the planning. in addition, even if not too specifıc, we have determined the special requirements of a sample MYO project. in the sixth and final chapter, we concentrated on the concepts that we fınd most striking and essential in the MYO planning. We observed how the specialized spaces of the MYO's can effect the school plans.
