hours of inactive female labor during 1st and 4th periods, rt would be hiring 1782.84 hours of female labor for 2nd term and 5183.97 hours for 3rd term. - When barn capacity was examined, rt was noted that 16.55% in third farm and 1.94 % sixth farm remained unused. -When the revolving capital was examined, 32.08 % of circulating capital in second farm and 27.38 % in the fourth farm has remained and it has been fully used in other farms. Assuming all other conditions remain same, it was found that total gross margin could be increased between 0.36 % and 55.80 % according to current organization only by the means of changing farm organization within optimum plans. These plans would need to be extended to the farmers living in rural area in order to have them implemented. For each of the farm plans have been prepared to maximize the gross margins of existing production resoucers and farmer has been rewived about of these plans that would bring him income increase. Farm owners have not clearly stated whether they would be prepared to implement those plans as the farm planing is directly related with farmer's revenue. However they have expressed that they would consider these plans when they determine their crop design next year. Fanners have been reluctant to act on this matter as they have been kept uninformed about farm planing so far. Farmers should be given an opportunity to be informed if their works can be conducted with a plan which will exploit their production resources, it would certainly provided an increse on their incomes and they should be convinced and as assured with the result of the implementation of these plans already carried out at selected farms. In order to extend the farm planing throughout Turkey, bookkeeping system must be widely extended, all the trials conducted in the village conditions must serve as data supply and the results obtained will have to be put into the practices. 145When preparing these plans, it should be kept in mind that these plans would be simple, practical and easy to meet farmers needs.lt should encourage number of farmers to work together and in the same time it should well be accepted by the agricultural extenstion organizations and they should be suitable for the implementations. 146hours of inactive female labor during 1st and 4th periods, rt would be hiring 1782.84 hours of female labor for 2nd term and 5183.97 hours for 3rd term. SUMMARY in this research, the economical structures of the selected fanns located at Çaybaşı village of Torbalı To\vn have been examined and through analysis of management results, the optimum farm plans have been detennined for more effective evaluation of current production resources. The emphasis was given to convince the farmers of effects of planned activities on farm resources and the plans prepared for each farm had been throughly discussed with the farmers whoseopinions and views have been considered. The plans which were prepared by using a method of dialoge and contributory opinions of farmers have been improved in stages and have been put fonvard for the consideration by the farmers. in the analysis conducted, the population structure of farm, famüy labor potential, usage of labor in farm, the age and educational status of managers, the fârmland and ways of it's utilization, capital formation and the results of farm activities have been examined in- depth. Gross margin analysis were employed in describing farm results. in the light of the data obtained through analysis stage, data has been reassessed by means of linear programming method in order to create new opportunites and form new production plan for increasing revenue with more efGcient usage of resources. For each of the farm, achieved optimum plans have been subjected to responsive analyses in comparison with existing organization and it's results. Following each planning stage, the discussions have been held with farmers concenung kinds of problems that may be encountered during farm plannig and the methods of overcoming those problems have been put fonvard. The results that can be achieved from this study which described above of the methods engaged and the main points are briefly summarized as follows; in the fanns examined, it was found that the number of members in farmer- family range from 2 to 7. it was noted that altough famfly labor potential have not been 143used in the farm at a range between 33.33 % and 66.67 % hired help has been significiantly engaged in ali fanns. Excluding the fifth and the eighth farm, owned land hold the majör share in total farm land. Upon examining irrigation facilities extended to the fanns it vvould seen that excluding the fourth and the fifth, the other farms vvould possess more irrigated lands. Within the capital structure, the most important entity is landlord's capital comprising 66.33 % to 92.16 % of the assets. Owned-land holds the majör share in landlord's capital in ali farms. Share of tenant's capital in total assets vary betvveen 7.84 % and 34.06 %. The share of depts has been counted as 0.082 % in eighth farm and 2.42 % in seventh farm Exchıding first and sixth farms, the highest gross production value is provided by cotton production. in the farms examined wages of casual hired labor, fodders and fertilisers are the majör cost elements in spesific costs. 94.48 % spesific costs in sixth farm and 57.57 % tenth farm belong to milk cow enterprise. The second pkce is occupied by milk cow enterprise in the first farm and spinach in the eighth farm. With the exclusion of the eighth farm, the most important common cost element \vithinis depreciations in other farms. Whüe tenth farm has achieved the highest value of farm income, the lowest value obtained by the second farm. As a resuh of optimum planning; -Excluding the fifth farm, whole farm lands have been used on other farms. - When the labor avaüabflity was examined it was found that only sixth farm insufficiency on present family labor and the need for hiring male and female laborers in ali seasons. While 61.16 % of existing man hours remained unused in the first farm, 3023.63 hours of female labor vvould be hired by the farm. in tenth farm, 43.90 % of available male lahor remained unused. While the farm vvould have a total of 474.96 144hours of inactive female labor during 1st and 4th periods, rt would be hiring 1782.84 hours of female labor for 2nd term and 5183.97 hours for 3rd term.
