Özet
Amaç: Çalışmamızda örneklem olarak seçilen ütopyalarda sosyal yaşam ve eğitim sorununu incelemeyi amaçladık. Yöntem: Çalışmamızda araştırma ve inceleme nitel araştırma modeli kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Betimsel araştırma deseninin kullanıldığı çalışmamızda, tarama modeli esas alınmıştır. Çalışmamızda, ütopyalardan dört ütopya, karşı-ütopyalardan ise iki ütopya örneklem olarak seçilmiştir. Veriler, yazılı doküman ve belge incelemesi tekniğiyle toplanmıştır. Toplanan veriler, bilimsel araştırma kurallarına uygun olarak, yorumlama ve çıkarımlarda bulunularak çözümlenmiştir. Bulgular: Ütopya, yazıldığı çağın sosyal, siyasal, kültürel ve ekonomik problemlerine çözüm bulma amacıyla ortaya çıkan, gerçekleşmesi imkansız tasarıdır. Karşı-ütopya ise ütopyaların ideal toplumu oluştururken yok ettiği özgürlüğü ve bireyselliği eleştirmek ve bilim ve teknolojideki ilerlemenin, gelecekte insanlığı sürükleyeceği durumu göstermek amacıyla yapılan tasarılardır. Tüm ütopyalarda sosyal yaşamın eğitim ile şekillendirilebileceği ve eğitim ile istenilen insan profilinin oluşturulabileceği savunulmaktadır. Ancak ütopyalar tasarlanırken tamamıyla kendi döneminden bağımsız değildir, içinde yaşadığı toplumdan, bilimsel ve felsefi gelişmelerden etkilenmiştir. Sonuç: Ütopyalarda tasarlanmış olan sosyal, siyasal ve ekonomik yapı ile eğitim modelleri mekanik bir yapıdadır. Bu tasarımlarda toplumsal gerçeklikler dikkate alınmamıştır. Ütopyalarda sosyal düzenin ve sosyal yaşamın gerçekleşmesinde ve sürekliliğinde formel ve informel eğitim önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Eğitimin tüm süreçlerinden faydalanılarak, ideal bir eğitim sisteminin nasıl olması gerektiği uygulamalarla gösterilmiştir. Ütopyalar toplumsal yasaları dikkate almayarak tasarlanmasına rağmen, günümüzde bir çok soruna ışık tutmaktadır. Ütopyalara yapılan eleştirilerin başında, toplumsal düzende ve eğitimde idealliği yakalama adına temel hak ve özgürlüklerin geri plana itilmesi gelmektedir. Ayrıca nasıl bir sosyal ve siyasal düzen tasarlanırsa tasarlansın, bir gün otoriter bir yapıya dönüşebileceği eleştirisidir. Toplumların otoriter bir yapıya dönüşmesinde ise bilim ve teknik önemli bir rol oynamaktadır.

Purpose: Our study aims to examine the social life and education problem in the selected utopias. Method: The research in our study was conducted using qualitative research model. Utilizing the descriptive research design, the screening model was taken as the basis. Four utopias from utopias and two utopias from counter-utopias were chosen as samples. The data were collected using written document and document examination technique. The collected data were analysed in accordance with scientific research rules by making interpretation and inferences. Findings: Having emerged to find solutions to social, political, cultural and economic problems of the time it was written, utopia is a project impossible to realize. Counter-utopia is a design to criticize the freedom and individuality the utopias destroy while creating the ideal society, and to show where the advancements in science and technology will carry the humanity in the future. In all utopias, it is argued social life can be shaped by education and the desired human profile can be created through education. However, the utopias are not designed independently from their era; they are influenced by the community and the scientific and philosophical developments they live in. Results: The social, political and economic structure and educational models designed in the utopias have mechanical structure. In these designs, social realities were not considered. Formal and informal education play an important role in the realization and continuity of social order and social life in utopias. By using all the processes of education, it has been shown in practice how an ideal education system should be. Although the utopias are designed without considering the social laws, they shed light on current problems. The leading criticism of utopias is pushing back of fundamental rights and freedoms to capture the ideal in social order and education. Moreover, it is a criticism of what kind of social and political order is designed, one day it can turn into an authoritarian structure. Science and technology play an important role in transforming society into an authoritarian structure.
