Özet (Çeviri)

The most important issues in the carriage of dangerous goods by sea are, loss of products or harm products. There is an extensive literature on this issue. For complex reasons, the issue of loss or harm from these products has not been given careful consideration. Each expanding number of risky goods is conveyed by sea today. This expands attracts consideration regarding blasts or fire on boats, spillages, pollutions, accidents and potential risk. The overall worry about the danger posed by the expanded recurrence in the carriage of hazardous goods has prompted the development of global specialized norms to advance maritime security and the insertion of unique terms in the carriage contracts. Additionally, developing ecological mindfulness and worry of the financial cost ramifications of sea setbacks have offered rise to the control of responsibility and compensation in appreciation of damage caused by hazardous and toxic substances. This research focuses how to transport dangerous goods by sea in the context of concurrent developments in shipping law. This issue needs to be investigated, because transportation of dangerous materials is very important in the commercial sense. At common law the shipper impliedly undertakes not to ship dangerous goods without first notifying the carrier of their particular characteristics.1 If someone wants to transport dangerous goods, there are rules on how to pack and label them. Dangerous goods must be packaged and labelled appropriately. If someone consigns goods that are classified as potentially dangerous when transported, he must arrange their packing and transportation by sea according to international regulations.2 Uncontrolled shipment of dangerous goods create problems such as explosions, fire on container ships, spillages, pollution, accidents and potential dangers. For these reasons this topic needs to be investigated. In this research the international regulations on the transportation of dangerous goods by sea will be critically evaluated from the perspective of the relevant legislation in Turkey and the United Kingdom. The research hypothesis is to examine and compare the regulations relating to the transportation of dangerous goods by sea in these two jurisdictions.
