Özet
Bu çalışma, Batı'da Kur'ân kronolojisine ilişkin ilk araştırmaları yürüten Alman oryantalistler Gustav Weil ve Theodor Nöldeke'nin Kur'ân vahyine yönelik tarihlendirme denemelerini, başvurdukları tarihlendirme yöntemlerine göre tasnif ederek değerlendirmeye odaklanmıştır. Çalışma, giriş ve iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş'te araştırmanın konusu, çerçevesi, önemi, amacı, metodu ve kaynakları tanıtılmıştır. Birinci Bölümde Kur'an araştırmaları bağlamında oryantalizmin ve Batılı Kur'an kronolojisi çalışmalarının serencamı betimlenmiş, Kur'an vahyinin tarihlendirilmesinde istifade edilen İslami referanslar ve oryantalistlerin tarihi süreç içinde İslam araştırmalarında başvurdukları temel yaklaşımlar incelenmiştir. Bölümün sonunda Weil ve Nöldeke'nin hayatları, eserleri ve Kur'an kronolojisine bakışları irdelenmiştir. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde, Mekkî ve Medenî tüm sûreler ve içerdikleri bazı âyet grupları, Weil ve Nöldeke'nin tarihlendirmede dayandıkları yöntemlere göre tasnif edilerek bu yöntemler tahlil ve tenkit süzgecinden geçirilmiştir. Bu bölümde ayrıca Kur'an kronolojisi bağlamında Weil ve Nöldeke'nin Kur'an'ın vahiy değeri, özgünlüğü ve otantikliği hususunda dile getirdikleri iddialar da ele alınarak değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuç kısmında ise oryantalist usul ve yaklaşımların vahyin nüzûl zamanını tespit etmedeki katkısı tartışılmış, vahyin kronolojik tertibinin önündeki engelleri aşabilme ve gerçeğe yakın bir nüzûl tarihi tespiti yapabilmenin imkânına ilişkin şahsi kanaatler dile getirilmiştir.

This study focuses to evaluate the ideas and approaches of the German orientalists, Gustav Weil and Theodor Noldeke, who carried out the first research about the Qur'an chronology in the West, on dating of the Surah and verses of the Qur'an, by determining the dating methods they use. In the introduction, the subject, framework, importance, purpose, method and sources of the research were introduced. In the first chapter, orientalism in the context of Qur'anic research and the portrayal of the Western Qur'an chronology works is determined, the Islamic references in dating the revelation of the Qur'an and The main approaches of orientalists in Islamic research are examined. At the end of the chapter Weil and Noldeke's lives, scientific studies and their approaches to Qur'an chronology are discussed. In the second chapter of the study, all the Surahs of the Mecca and Medina period and some of the verse groups they included were classified according to the methods of Weil and Noldeke in dating, and these methods were subjected to analysis and criticism. This chapter also evaluates the claims of Weil and Noldeke on the value, originality, and authenticity of the Qur'an in the context of Quran chronology. In the conclusion, the contribution of the orientalist methods and approaches in determining the time of the revelation was questioned and our foresight is shared about being able to overcome the obstacles in front of the chronological order of the revelation and the possibility of determining a revelation date close to the truth.
