Özet

Modern dünyada bilgi, insanlığın varoluşu için en gerekli ihtiyaçlardan biridir. Bütün devletler, kurumlar, bireyler bilgiye ihtiyaç duymakta ve bilgiye ulaşımın kolaylığı toplumların medeniyet seviyesin belirlemektedir. Bu bağlamda, günümüz Türkiye'sinde Bilgi ve Belge Yönetimi bölümleri, bilginin korunması, saklanması, geleceğe aktarılması ve aynı zamanda bilginin paylaşılması için tasarlanmış bir lisans programı olmuştur. Bilgi ve Belge Yönetimi bölümleri, ders içeriği ve eğitim felsefe bakımından teorik bilgi ile pratik bilginin harmanlandığı bir program sunmaktadır. 2002 yılından beri Bilgi ve Belge Yönetimi Bölümü adıyla eğitim faaliyetlerine devam etmekte olan Bilgi ve Belge Yönetimi Bölümü, 2019 yılı itibariyle Türkiye'de 12 üniversitede lisans eğitiminin aktif olduğu görülmektedir. (Ankara Üniversitesi, Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt Üniversitesi, Atatürk Üniversitesi, Bartın Üniversitesi, Çankırı Karatekin Üniversitesi, Hacettepe Üniversitesi, İstanbul Medeniyet Üniversitesi, İstanbul Üniversitesi, İzmir Katip Çelebi Üniversitesi, Kastamonu Üniversitesi, Marmara Üniversitesi, Osmaniye Korkut Ata Üniversitesi BBY Bölümleri) Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti'nde Yakın Doğu Üniversitesi'nde de aktif olarak eğitim faaliyetlerini yürütmekte olan 1 adet Bilgi ve Belge Yönetimi Bölümü bulunmaktadır. Köklü bir tarihi geçmişe sahip olan bölümün, Bilgi ve Belge Yönetimi isminden önceki eğitim müfredatında ve günümüzde aktif faaliyet halinde yürütülmekte olan ders müfredatında, stajın her zaman yer aldığı görülmüştür. Teori dersleri alan öğrenciler uygulama ile çeşitli kurumlarda staj süreçlerini halen günümüzde de gerçekleştirmektedirler. Bölümün, stajı, ders müfredatına dahil ederek zorunlu hale getirmesi ile temel hedef, öğrencilerin teori ve uygulama ilişkisini eğitim döneminde çeşitli kurumlarda deneyimleme imkanını sağlamak olmuştur. Üniversitede alınan teorik bilginin profesyonel hayattaki ampirik bilgiye dönüşmesini sağlayan stajlar, bireylerin mesleki hayatlarını yönlendirecek eğitim/çalışma olgusu olmakla birlikte teorik eğitim-öğretim sürecinin tamamlayıcısı niteliğindedir. Stajlar, mezuniyetten sonra öğrencinin ileride meslek sahibi olacağı çalışma ortamının koşullarını tanıma, iş süreçleri hakkında fikir sahibi olma, meslek konusunda farklı bilgi ve deneyimler elde etme, yeteneklerini geliştirme fırsatı bulma ve mesleki sorumluluk taşıma gibi konularda öğrencilere rehberlik eden bir eğitim yöntemidir. Bu tez çalışması, Bilgi ve Belge Yönetimi Bölümlerinde önemli bir süreç olan stajların incelenmesini konu edinmiştir. Bölümlerde stajla ilgili öğretim elemanları ve personellerin görüş, düşünce ve önerileri ortaya konularak, sorunlara ilişkin öneriler sunulmuştur. Yapılan bu araştırmanın bulgularının Bilgi ve Belge Yönetimi Bölümü içerisinde yer alan staj ile ilgili olarak, akademisyen, öğrenci, meslek çalışanlarına rehber olabileceği düşünülmektedir. Elde edilen bilgiler doğrultusunda aynı isimle eğitim öğretim faaliyetlerini yürüterek staja öğrencilerini gönderen Bilgi ve Belge Yönetimi Bölümlerinin, her üniversitede staj uygulama farklılıkları bulunduğu gözlemlenmiştir.

Knowledge in the modern world is one of the most essential needs for human existence. All states, institutions, individuals need information and the ease of access to information determines the level of civilization of societies. In this context, Information and Document Management Departments in Turkey designed an undergraduate program for data protection, storage, sharing and transfer of knowledge to the future. The departments of Information and Document Management (IDM) offer a program that blends theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge in terms of course content and educational philosophy. Since 2002, departments of Information and Document Management continues its activities with the name of IDM sections and its undergraduate education is active in 12 Turkish universities as of 2019. (Ankara University, Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University, Ataturk University, Bartin University, Çankırı Karatekin University, Hacettepe University, Istanbul Medeniyet University, Istanbul University, Izmir Katip Celebi University, Kastamonu University, Marmara University, Osmaniye Korkut Ata University) There is one Information and Document Management Department in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, which is actively conducting educational activities at the Near East University. It has been observed that the department, which has a deep-rooted history, has always had internship program in its education curricula prior to taking the name IDM and in its current course curricula. The students who take theory courses still carry out their internship process in various institutions to have practical experience. The department has made the internship compulsory by including the internship in the course curriculum, thus, the main objective is establishing the relationship between theory and practice, experience in various institutions in the education period, gaining experience in the profession, comparison of practice with the theoretical knowledge. It has been also seen that practice in the professional field help them in the process of choosing the appropriate field by seeing their interests. Internships that enable the transformation of theoretical knowledge in university to the empirical knowledge in professional life are complementary to the theoretical education-teaching process, which guide the professional lives of individuals. Internship is a training method that allows the students to recognize the conditions of the working environment in which they will have a profession in the future, to have an idea about the business processes, to obtain different knowledge and experiences about the profession, to find the opportunity to develop their skills and to carry professional responsibility. This thesis study is an examination of internships which is an important process in the departments of Information and Document Management. In the chapters; opinions, considerations and suggestions of the lecturers and staff of the departments about the internship process and problems are presented. It is thought that the findings of this study can be a guide for academicians, students and professionals related to the internship in the IDM departments. In line with the information obtained, it was observed that the departments of IDM, which send students to the internship by conducting its educational activities with the same name, had differences in internship practice per each university.
