Özet
Bu çalışmada öncelikle metrik uzaydan daha genel olan b-metrik uzay yapısı incelenmiştir. Sonra metrik uzaylarda verilen bazı sabit nokta teoremleri, b-metrik uzaylar için verilmiştir. Bu tez beş bölümden oluşmaktadır. I. Bölümde sabit nokta teorisinin önemi ve tarihsel gelişimi kısaca özetlenmiştir. II. Bölümde b-metrik uzayların yapısı ve temel özellikleri incelenmiştir. Ayrıca metrik yapısı ile b-metrik yapısı arasındaki ilişkiler ve farklar verilmiştir. III. Bölümde b-metrik uzaylarda tanımlı olan ve değişik koşulları sağlayan bir dönüşüm için sabit nokta teoremleri verilmiştir. Yine karşılaştırma fonksiyonu ile tanımlanan daraltanlık koşulunu sağlayan dönüşümler için sabit nokta teoremleri incelenmiştir. IV. Bölümde b-metrik uzaylarda iki dönüşüm, zayıf bağdaşık dönüşüm çiftleri ve genişleme dönüşümleri için ortak sabit nokta teoremleri verilmiştir. V. Bölümde ise tezle ilgili genel bilgiler verilerek hedefler ortaya koyulmuştur.

In this work, firstly, the structure of b-metric space which is more general than metric space is investigated. Later, the results of the some fixed point theorems in metric space are given for b-metric space. The thesis contains of five sections. In section I, the importance and historical development of the fixed point theory are summarized. In section II, the structures and basic properties of b-metric spaces are investigated. Moreover the relationships and differences between metric and b-metric are given. In section III, the fixed point theorems are given for a map which is defined in b-metric spaces and satisfies different conditions. The fixed point theorems are investigated maps which is defined by comparasion function and satisfies contraction condition. In section IV, the fixed point theorems are given for two maps, weak compatible maps pairs and maps which in expansion type in b-metric spaces. In section V, the aims are exhibited, by giving knowledges about the thesis.
