Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı MTAL öğrencilerinin Biyoloji dersine yönelik tutumlarının cinsiyet, okul türü ve bölüm değişkenleri açısından incelenmesi ve biyoloji dersi tutumları ile akademik başarılarının incelenmesidir. Meslek lisesi öğrencilerinin Biyoloji dersine yönelik tutumlarını belirlemek için, Koçakoğlu ve Türkmen (2010) tarafından geliştirilen“Biyoloji Dersine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği”kullanılmıştır. Okul adı, cinsiyet ve bölüm bilgilerinin yer aldığı 3 maddelik demografik bilgiler öğrenci bilgi formunda verilmiştir. Akademik başarı olarakta ölçek uygulanan öğrencilerin 2017-2018 eğitim-öğretim yılı Biyoloji dersi sene sonu karne notları kullanılmıştır. Ölçek, Bingöl ilinin merkez ve ilçelerine bağlı tüm MTAL'lerinde 2017-2018 eğitim öğretim yılının II. Döneminde, 10.sınıfta öğrenim gören 553 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Uygulama sonuçları istatistik paket programında değerlendirilmiştir. Alt problem cümlelerini araştırmak için betimsel istatistik, Mann Whitney U testi, Kruskal Wallis H testi ve Spearman korelasyon teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Yapılan istatistiksel çalışmalar ile öğrencilerin Biyoloji dersine yönelik tutumları ile alt boyutları arasındaki ilişki, 1-5 puan aralığından 3'e yakın olarak saptanmıştır. Laboratuara ilişkin tutum puanları en yüksek, Biyolojiye ilişkin tutum puanları ise en düşük çıkmıştır. Diğer alt problemlerde yapılan incelemelerde kız öğrencilerin Biyoloji dersine ilişkin tutum puanları erkek öğrencilere göre daha yüksek çıkmıştır. Bölüme göre yapılan incelemelerde Sağlık Hizmetleri bölümündeki öğrencilerin Biyolojiye ilişkin puanlarının diğer bölüm öğrencilerinin puanlarına göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir şekilde daha düşük olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Okula göre yapılan incelemelerde ise meslek lisesi öğrencilerinin biyoloji dersine yönelik tutum ölçeği puanları, laboratuara ilişkin tutum ve grupla öğrenmeye ilişkin tutum puanları bölüme göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık göstermezken; diğer alt boyut puanları anlamlı farklılık göstermektedir. Öğrencilerin biyoloji dersi tutumları ile akademik başarıları arasında ise anlamlı bir ilişki olmadığı sonucu elde edilmiştir.

The aim of this thesis is to examine the attitudes of the students in vocational and technical high schools towards the Biology course in terms of gender, school type and department variables and to examine the attitude towards the Biology course and academic achievement. In order to determine the attitudes of vocational high school students towards Biology course,“Attitude Scale towards Biology Course”which was developed by Koçakoğlu and Türkmen (2010) was utilized. The 3-article demographic information which includes; school name, gender and departmental information are given on the scale. That scale is used for all vocational and technical high schools of Bingöl district. It was applied to 553 students which studying in 10th grade. The results were evaluated in the SPSS 24 program. Descriptive statistics, Mann Whitney U test, Kruskal Wallis H test and Spearman technic were used to investigate the sub-problem sentences. With the statistical studies, the relationship between the students' attitudes towards the Biology course and their sub-dimensions was found between 1-5 scales (to be close to 5). The attitude scores of the laboratory were the highest and the attitude scores related to the biology were the lowest. Also, in the examinations carried out in other sub-problems, female students' attitude towards Biology course was higher than that of male students. Besides, in the examinations made according to the department, it was determined that the scores of the students in the Department of Health Services were significantly lower than those of the other department students. According to school examinations, attitudes towards biology course scores of the vocational high school students, attitude towards the laboratory and attitude scores related to the group studies have not emerged a statistically significant difference according to the department, however other sub-dimension scores display some statistically significant differences. It is concluded that, there have no significant relationship between students' attitudes towards biology and academic achievement.
