Özet

Değer; bir milletin sahip olduğu, toplumun tamamı tarafından kabul gören, maddi, manevi, olumlu, olumsuz ögelerin bütünüdür. Değerlerin nesilden nesile aktarılmasında başta aile olmak üzere birçok faktör etkili olmaktadır. Son zamanlarda ise etkisi giderek artan kitle iletişim araçları, değer aktarımında üst sıralara çıkmıştır. Özellikle çocukların dünyasında önemli bir yere sahip olan televizyon, önemli konuma ulaşmıştır. Filmler, eğlendirmenin, güldürmenin, düşündürmenin yanı sıra eğitici yönleriyle değer aktarımında da önemli bir yere sahiptir. Bu bağlamda; araştırmanın amacı, Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretim Programında yer alan değerlerin eğitim içerikli filmlerde var olma düzeyini belirlemek ve bu değerlerin filmlerde ne ölçüde işlendiğini ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmanın evreni eğitim içerikli filmlerdir. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'nın tavsiye ettiği filmler arasından kasti örnekleme ile seçilen“Üç Aptal”,“İmparatorlar Kulübü”,“Ölü Ozanlar Derneği”,“Yerdeki Yıldızlar”,“Kara”ve“İki Dil Bir Bavul”adlı filmlerden oluşturmaktadır. Belirlenen filmlerde, Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretim Programı'nda yer alan; adalet, aile birliğine önem verme, bağımsızlık, barış, bilimsellik, çalışkanlık, dayanışma, duyarlılık, dürüstlük, estetik, eşitlik, özgürlük, saygı, sevgi, sorumluluk, tasarruf, vatanseverlik ve yardımseverlik değerlerine yönelik sözel ve görsel ögeler tespit edilmiştir. Doküman incelemesi yöntemiyle elde edilen bulgular, içerik analizi yöntemiyle çözümlenmiş, değerlere ait frekans ve yüzdeler tablolarla belirtilmiştir. Araştırmanın bulguları incelendiğinde; filmlerde toplam 336 değere rastlanmıştır. En çok değer içeren film 74 değer ile Kara adlı film olmuştur. En az değer içeren film 18 değer ile İki Dil Bir Bavul adlı film olmuştur. En çok vurgulanan değerler ise %17,85 ile çalışkanlık, %13,69 ile özgürlük, %9,52 ile sevgi ve %8,92 ile saygı değeri olmuştur. Bütün filmlerde yer verilen değerler; aile birliğine önem verme, bilimsellik, dayanışma, saygı ve yardımseverlik olmuştur. Bağımsızlık değerine yönelik bulgulara ise hiçbir filmde rastlanmamıştır. Bu bulgulardan hareketle, eğitim içerikli filmlerin değerler eğitimi bakımdan uygun ve olumlu bir içeriğe sahip olduğu, filmde çocukların örnek alabileceği rol modellerin sergilendiği söylenebilir. Filmde değerlerin yer aldığı sahneler, öğrenme alanlarıyla da bağlantılı olarak eğitim sürecinde etkin bir şekilde faydalanılabilir. Filmlerin çocuklar üzerindeki etkileri dikkate alındığında, değer aktarımında filmler alternatif bir yöntem olabileceği söylenebilir.

Value; It is a collection of material, spiritual, positive and negative elements that are accepted by the whole society. Many factors, especially the family, are effective in transferring values from generation to generation. Recently, the mass media, whose influence has been increasing, has been at the top of value transfer. Television, which has an important place especially in the world of children, has reached an important position. In addition to entertaining, laughing and thinking, films have an important place in the transfer of value with their educational aspects. In this context; The aim of the research is to determine the level of existence of the values included in the Social Studies Curriculum in educational films and to show the extent to which these values are processed in the films. The universe of the research is educational films. The sample of the study consists of the films“Three İdiots”,“Emperor's Club”,“Dead Poets Association”,“Yıldız Stars on the Ground”,“Black”and“Two Languages and a Suitcase”films which are selected by the Ministry of National Education. In the selected films, in the Social Studies Curriculum; verbal and visual elements were determined for the values of justice, caring for family unity, independence, peace, science, diligence, solidarity, sensitivity, honesty, aesthetics, equality, freedom, respect, love, responsibility, saving, patriotism and philanthropy. Findings obtained by document analysis method were analyzed by content analysis method and frequency and percentages of values were indicated in tables. When the findings of the research were examined; a total of 336 values were found in the films. The film with the highest value was Kara with 74 values. The film with the least value was the film Two Languages One Suitcase with 18 values. The most emphasized values were diligence with 17.85%, freedom with 13.69%, love with 9.52% and respect with 8.92%. Values included in all films; importance of family unity, scientific, solidarity, respect and helpfulness. Findings regarding the value of independence were not found in any film. Based on these findings, it can be said that films with educational content have a positive and positive content in terms of values education, and role models that children can take as an example are exhibited in the film. The scenes in which the values take place in the film can be used effectively in the education process in connection with the learning areas. Considering the effects of films on children, it can be said that films can be an alternative method of value transfer.
