Özet

Üniversite öğrencilerinin eğitim başarısını ölçmek için sınıf geçme durumu veya not ortalaması gibi değişkenlerle değerlendirmek sağlıklı sonuçlar vermeyebilir. Bir öğrencinin başarısını sadece aldığı not ile değerlendirmek dar bir çerçeve ile bakmak olarak nitelendirilebilir. Çünkü öğrencilerin başarılarını coğrafi, ruhsal, fiziksel, akademik nedenler, yaşadığı çevre, sosyal ve maddi olanaklar gibi birçok faktörler etkileyebilir. Yapılan bu çalışma kapsamında üniversite öğrencilerinin başarılarını etkileyen faktörlerin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Sivas Cumhuriyet Üniversitesi – İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesi öğrencileri üzerinde bir anket çalışması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu anket çalışması İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesi'nde bulunan bölümlerdeki 411 öğrenciye rassal olarak uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler ise, SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciense) paket programı ile değerlendirilmiştir ve verilere faktör analizi uygulanmıştır. 27 maddelik taslak ölçeğin; madde analizi değerlerine, madde yük değerlerine ve eşkökenlilik değerlerine bakılarak 8 madde ölçekten çıkarılmıştır. Döndürme sonrası binişik olan 2 madde daha çıkarılarak ölçek 17 maddeye düşmüştür ve çalışması soncunda 5 faktörlü ölçek elde edilmiştir. Ölçeğe ait açıklanan toplam varyans % 55,827 olarak, maddelerin faktör yük değerleri ise 0,444 ile 0,782 arasında olduğu görülmüştür. Faktörlerde yer alan ifadeler dikkate alındığında; Faktör 1: Ders ile İlgili Etmenler, Faktör 2: Akademik Etmenler, Faktör 3: Teknolojik Etmenler, Faktör 4: Psiko-Sosyal Etmenler, Faktör 5: Ekonomik Etmenler şeklinde isimlendirilmesine karar verilmiştir. Faktör Analizi sonuçlarına göre öğrencilerin başarılarını etkiyen faktörler bakıldığında cinsiyet, öğrenim türü, bölüm, sınıf, aile ve kendi gelir düzeyi, ikamet durumu, TV ve internette vakit geçirme süreleri, alttan dersi olup olmadığı durumlarına göre farklılık olduğu görülmüştür.

Evaluation with several variables like promotion status or grade average for measuring the educational achievements of undergraduate students, may not give healthy results. Evaluation of a student by just grade can be described as look with a narrow frame. Because, several factors like geographical, psychological, physical, monetary, academic reasons, living environments, social and monetary, may affect the achievements of students. It is aimed that to determine the factors affecting the success of undergraduate students within the scope of this study. In accordance with this aim, a survey study on the students of Sivas Cumhuriyet University Faculity of Economics and Administrative Sciences is realized. This survey study is randomly applied on the students in departments of Faculity of Economics and Administrative Sciences, and the result is reached that number of examples is 411. The obtained data is evaluated with SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciense) software and factorial analysis is applied to this data. 8 items are removed of the sketch scale with 27 items according to its Item analysis values, item load values and co-origin values. After the rotation, 2 comorbid items are removed so the scale is reduced to 17 items and result of the study, the scale with 5 factors is obtained. They were measured that the explained total variance that belongs to the scale is 55,827%, factor load values of the items are between 0,444 and 0,782. Considering the expressions in the factors, it is decided to entitle the factors as Factor 1: Factors Related to the Course, Factor 2: Academical Factors, Factor 3: Technological Factors, Factor 4: Psychosocial and Economical Factors, Factor 5: Economical Factors. As the results of the factor analysis, considering the factors that affect the achievements of students, it is concluded that there are differences according to gender, type of education, department, class, family and own income rate, residence status, spend time on Internet or watching TV, failed course situations.
