ABSTRACT High School Personality Questionnaire (HSPQ) is a self report inventory for adolescents (age between 12 and 18) that measures personality characteristics. HSPQ has 142 items and measures 14 primary factors and 5 secondary factors. The scores are placed on a ten point scale. Scores 1 to 3 are regarded as“low”and scores 8 to 3 are regarded as“high”. Results of HSPQ can be used as a source of information in educational, clinical, industrial applications, and in cross cultural research. HSPQ is used in more than twenty countries and has a wide research literature from different cultures. As a member of 16PF family HSPQ gives the opportunity of collecting data about personality from different ages. The aim of this study is to adapt HSPQ in to Turkish culture to determine the personality characteristics of adolescents aged between 12-18 and to be able to use the results of the applications of HSPQ in clinical, industrial and educational area. The secondary aim of this study is to establish internal consistency and test-retest reliability of The Turkish form of HSPQ.
