Özet
ÖZET Çağdaş anlamda ilk afişler; 19. yüzyılın sonlan ile 20. yüzyılın başlarında üretilmeye başladı. Ressamların afişe gösterdikleri ilgi ile estetik unsurlar taşıyarak, diğer sanat dallan arasındaki yerini aldı. Baskı teknolojisindeki gelişmeler ve sanatçıların desteğiyle gelişen afiş; dönemin en önemli iletişim araçlarından biri haline geldi. Bu sayede toplum üzerindeki etkisini kanıtlayan afiş; savaş dönemlerinde savaşan ülkelerin, halktan destek beklentilerini, halka iletmelerinde önemli bir görev üstlenmiştir. Sanat akımlarının etkisinde kalan afiş, bu akımlan sokakta temsil eden bir araç olmuştur. Ülkemizde İhap Hulusi Görey'in önderliği ile başlayan afiş sanatına, diğer sanatçılarımız da ilgi göstermiş ve ülkemizi yurtdışında temsil etmişlerdir. Bu konuda Mengü Ertel, Yurdaer Altıntaş, Sadık Karamustafa gibi sanatçılarımızın önemli destekleri olmuştur. Afiş sanatı konusunda eğitim veren bölümlerin kurulması, ekonomik ve teknolojik gelişmeler ülkemizde afiş sanatının gelişmesine destek vermiştir. Grafîkerler Meslek Kuruluşu'nun, serbest grafikerlerin ve çeşitli kuruluşların da destekleri, afiş sanatımızın gelişimine katkı sağlamıştır.

ABSTRACT The production of the first modern posters was begin in the late 19th century and in the beginning of the 20th century. With the painters' interest in posters holding the aestetic elements, it has taken its place among the other branches of arts. The poster that is encolored with the improvements in the printing technology and the support of the artists, has become one of the most importants communication means. By that way, it has proved its effect upon the society, and has taken an important role for fighting countries in communicating their expectations of support from the public in the war times. Poster which has been effected by the arts streams, has become a means that perform those streams on the streets. Poster art in our country has begun under the leadership of Hulusi Görey, and many other artists interested in the poster represented our country successfully. Some artists like Mengü Ertel, Yurdaer Altıntaş, Sadık Karamustafa have contributed to the poster arts. The establishment of the departments of education in advertisement arts, economical and technological improvements supported its development. The support of Society of Graphic Designers, private graphic artists and various estblishments, contributed to the development of poster arts.
