Özet
Çalışmanın amacı Obstetrik Brakial Pleksus Paralizi (OBPP) olan çocuklarda dikkati, taktil duyuyu ve duyu ile ilişkili el fonksiyonlarını incelemektir. Çalışmaya 30 OBPP olan çocuk çalışma grubu olarak ve 30 sağlıklı çocuk kontrol grubu olarak dahil edildi. Dahil edilme kriterlerini karşılayan çocuklarda, kişisel ve klinik bilgilerin toplanması amacıyla Demografik Bilgi formu, el tercihinin belirlenmesi amacıyla Edinburgh el tercihi anketi, dikkat seviyesinin belirlenmesi amacıyla Stroop testi, taktil duyunun değerlendirilmesi amacıyla Semmes-Weinstein monofilament testi ve fonksiyonel duyunun değerlendirilmesi amacıyla Moberg Pick-up testi kullanıldı. İki grubun boy haricinde (p>0,05) demografik özellikler açısından homojen olduğu bulundu (p0,05). Çalışma grubunun dikkat seviyesi ile duyu fonksiyonları arasında ilişki bulunmamıştır (p>0,05). Sonuç olarak OBPP olan çocuklarda dikkat ve duyu fonksiyonlarının kontrol grubuna oranla düşük olduğu, bu farkın bazı alt gruplarda anlamlı olduğu tespit edildi. Bu çocuklarda fonksiyonel duyunun değerlendirilmesinin tedavi başarısını göstermede önemli bir parametre olacağı, dikkate yönelik verilecek ön çalışmaların tedavi etkinliğini artırmada yararlı olabileceği kanısına varıldı. Taktil duyuda büyük kayıplar görülmemesine rağmen tedavi planı içerisine fonksiyonel duyu eğitimlerinin yerleştirilmesinin gerekli olduğu düşünülmektedir.

The aim of the study is to investigate attention, tactile sense and sensory hand function in children with Obstetric Brachial Plexus Paralysis (OBPP). The study included 30 children with OBPP as a study group and 30 healthy children as a control group. The children who met the inclusion criteria was evaluated with the demographic information form to collect personal and clinical information, Edinburgh hand preference survey for determining hand preference, the Stroop test to determine the level of attention, the Moberg Pick-up test to evaluate the functional sense, and the Semmes-Weinstein monofilament test to evaluate the tactile sense. Except for height (p> 0.05), two groups were found to be homogeneous in terms of demographic characteristics (p0.05). In the study group, attention level was not significantly related with sensory functions. (p>0.05). As a result, it was determined that attention and sensory functions were lower in children with OBPP compared to the control group, and this difference was significant in some subgroups. It was concluded that the evaluation of functional sensation in children with OBPP will be an important parameter in showing the success of the treatment, and preliminary studies to be given for attention can be useful in increasing the effectiveness of the treatment. Although there are no major losses in tactile sense, it is thought that it is necessary to include functional sensory training in the treatment plan.
